Today is a celebration that every year is both emotional and rewarding! Every year that passes I look back on my growth and I amaze myself every single year! The journey has been a hard one but "I DID IT!" Everyday I become a better me and every year I will celebrate that! 10 years ago today I walked away from the hardest situation in my life! It was hard to break the chains and some parts of it felt weird and not ok for me! I felt guilty and undeserving! But I can say that I was only guilty of not loving myself enough! Today, I want to celebrate the rebirth of "ME" the person I was born is not the person I am today! I want to thank the people who stood by me and believed in me well I worked through all the baggage because without them idk that I would be sitting here writing this post today! The life I left only had one plan for me and it was to destroy me! I pray that this post finds someone who needs to hear it, please know that you to can overcome any situation no matter how big it is! Learn to love yourself! Remember you are enough! And above everything Never give up! In my recovery from domestic violence I haven't been perfect I have had days I've been weak and I found myself feeling like giving up! Those days happen and that's ok! Just remember to pick those pieces back up and keep moving forward! Never stay in the place you were yesterday! Set small goals to achieve and if you don't achieve it at first keep trying! Most of all remember you have the choice!!
