I refuse to believe that people who defend that a penis is a neutral body part have a life outside of the internet. How can a body part that can impregnate a woman against her will can ever be neutral? I mean, just ask yourself: would my reaction to a random man showing me his penis when I am alone in the street at night be the same as my reaction to a random woman showing me her vagina? Why not? Yeah, the penis is not the only body part that can be weaponized. You can use your hands to caress and you can use your hands to strangle. But there is a reason why no one is scared of hands.

in like 5-10 years there's going to be a wave of rehabilitated former terfs and they're going to want to be at the front of queer social movements. we can't let that happen for the same reasons we can't let former 4chan fascists lead leftist groups, even if they do feel bad about it.

If we want a future world in which women are not on our knees pleading with men to be a little kinder—economically, politically, legally, religiously, personally—we must get up off our knees right now. There is no magic moment when groveling suddenly becomes self-respect and independence of spirit.
Neither is there any moment of alchemy when getting women into office will change the system, because what women have to do today to get into office determines what they will be doing in the future. There is simply no getting to a feminist value system by acting out of the old patriarchal values of competition, expediency, hierarchy...
Women say, “But if I can get in there, I can subvert their system for women’s ends.” But since the only genuinely subversive act for prisoners of war is to get out, the very fact of staying in prevents a woman from being subversive. Thinking of the women who got “in,” I consider that I haven’t seen one instance of their subverting the system. Any liberal man could have done as well or better for women since he wouldn’t have been seen as not being objective, as favoring his own group. I wonder, when I hear a woman say that she will succeed in subversion where others have failed, what makes her think she is the exceptional one? I wonder why we can’t honor other women’s experience, learn from it, and say, “If they didn’t change the system, it’s because they couldn’t. If being as they are—strong, smart, courageous women—they couldn’t do it, it’s because it can’t be done.” Thousands have tried and failed. I suggest we thank them for making clear its futility and move on.

Beautiful TED-Ed animation on an amazing woman, Hisako Koyama (1916-1997), a Japanese professional solar observer whose work on recording sunspot activity helped reconstruct 400 years of sunspot activity. Directed by Croatian animator Martina Meštrović.

We have lost in giggle v tickle. A woman who made a female-only app has been ordered by the high court of Australia to pay $10k to a man who was rejected from joining, under the sex discrimination act.
The $10k isn't at all what matters - what matters is that males are now legally entitled to join any female-only space in Australia. Women's single-sex spaces and services have no legal protection, as this precedent deems exclusion of males who decide, even on a whim, that they will call themselves women, is discrimination. Under the sex discrimination act.
Women's sports, bathrooms, prisons, lesbian dating apps, women's facebook groups, book clubs, feminist groups. Men are entitled to see everything going on in these groups and spaces. Women's safety in prisons, bathrooms, changing rooms, and sports is lost. This decision will effect the rest of the western world, and will not stay within Australia.
We've lost a lot of safety, and legally speaking we might have to pretend they are women, but we have not lost the ability to speak. Until speaking is illegal, we need to keep doing it. We cannot safely speak in private groups now. We must let men know what we are saying, and say it out loud. Say to their faces. Let the governments know that women are saying no, and women won't lay down and die, pretending there's no difference between us and a man in a dress in our changing rooms. We are not protected from them, but we can still speak against it. KEEP SPEAKING AGAINST IT. LET THEM KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.
I know there's very few good voting options right now, seemingly all legislators hate women one way or another, we need to be known, as a considerable voting group. We need more gender critical women going into politics. If we make ourselves known, legislators will begin to consider our needs and wants. I know the risk young people face when being open with these opinions - losing friends, employment, family etc, but you need to do as much as you can. Post anonymously, join protests, donate to groups, BE LOUD! Our rights are being reversed.
The sex discrimination act was used to legally entitle men to all female spaces. The sex discrimination act was used to make female-only spaces and services illegal. This is going backwards. Laws made to protect us are the same laws being used to take our safety away.

My god: "In 2022, 42% of [Japanese] men in their 20s said they had never had sex, while 17% of those in their 30s were virgins, too. A government report from 2022 found that 40% of men had never been on a date."
In advanced countries the gap between the sexes has widened, with young men tending to be more conservative and young women tending to be more liberal. The trend is particularly striking in East Asia. Men are not adapting well to a society where women are better educated, compete with them for jobs and do not want to have babies with them. According to one survey in 2021, 79% of South Korean men in their 20s believe they are victims of “reverse discrimination”. In neighbouring Japan, a survey the same year found that 43% of men aged 18 to 30 “hate feminism”.

By cutting out the TQ+, you also cut out:
-Intersex people
-Two-spirit gays and other culturally connected gays
-Gender nonconforming people
-Those who are questioning their sexuality
-Gays, lesbians, and bi's who are supportive of trans people
-Millions of kind, loving, supportive humans who have gone through indescribable, traumatic abuse and wish to build a safe, welcoming community
Why are you so eager to exclude and belittle people? Why do you tell them they 'don't know what real struggle looks like' when their healthcare, their future, and their lives are under attack? Do you truly value 'love', or do you just want to swat away as many people as possible? Why do you continue to hide under a rock and dig yourself deeper into festering hatred, when you can simply come out and support people who can help you?
Wouldn't it be easier to unite with our trans and nonbinary friends to help defeat the growing threat of genuine fascism in our country? Those conservative Christian nationalists and white supremacists who tell you you're "one of the good ones" would gladly turn around and shoot you in a heartbeat, because when they say they're fighting the 'woke gender ideology', they'll mutter in the same breath that you gays are 'degenerates', 'sodomites', and 'animals'. Why would you side with the villains, who see you the same way they see us?
We cannot let oppression continue in any form. We will all be on the winning side of history as we step closer to ending the cycle of hatred and bullying. Open your hearts and minds and you'll find that the everyone around you is just as human as you, and are more similar to you than you'd think. Trans people are people, just like you, and we need your help and support just as much as you need ours.
Isn't it neat how people who are supportive of all LGBTQ+ identities are also kinder, more loving, more empathetic, and more caring towards their friends and loved ones? Just something to think about.
Love wins. Trans rights are human rights.

I feel like the way ai is currently being used is one of the various things that completely shatters the incel argument that every woman on earth wakes up hoping they get an opportunity to falsely accuse a man of sexual assault or abuse.
If that were actually true we would have thousand upon thousands if not millions of cases of women using ai to try and frame men for crimes they didn’t commit. but we don’t have that.
but you know what we do have? thousands upon thousands if not millions of men using ai to sexually harass women and little girls.

Im so glad that ALL women can now use the giggle app. Not sure why you would celebrate discrimination against some women, but what do you expect from a hateful reactionary right wing movement posing as feminism?
shockingly, the app was intended for females, not women - this included trans men and nb females, but excluded trans women. so no, not an app for women, an app for females, but that's too difficult for some people to understand.
and I am not celebrating discrimination, I am lambasting the fact that my country has no clue of the differences between female and male, let alone what a "woman" is.
I have some trans-inclusive biases; I do believe in some cases, trans women can exist in society as women, but they are not female. that's where I draw the line - where do you draw yours, if you even have one?
my apologies for being so hateful, reactionary, and right-wing.
