So if you've been wondering what happened to me, I'm still here. I injured my writing hand in Late November and it has been healing very very slowly. Last month it finally started to get to a point where I could grip things without wincing in pain and now I am up to drawing in 30 minute intervals. What I have been doing is a lot of junk journal stuff. like so.

Anyway, that's why I haven't joined any events. I need to be able to finish my MTH fills before getting involved with anything else as whatever time I can make that requires drawing needs to be saved for that

I wish I had known about this years ago, I love stickers and fancy paper and creating scenes. Also, my mum was in the hospital from Dec 26th to Jan 24th having suffered a bad fall and broke her left shoulder. It was especially nerve wracking due to the Parkinsons. Anyway, It's been a difficult time. All's good now, thank goodness she lives in Canada and not this f'd up country. She gets four at home visits a day and they cook food for my parents. All paid for by the government because in Canada, they care about the elderly.

I swear we used to be able to think critically about random GoFundMe asks

It used to be understood that if someone using a throwaway blog suddenly starts messaging a bunch of accounts to beg for money, they were most likely a scammer.

Now suddenly there are fucking swarms of throwaway bots relentlessly shilling GoFundMe campaigns to anyone who even so much as breathes in the direction of a trending tag or post, yet the mere suggestion that any of these could be a scam will immediately get you yelled at by self-righteous strangers.

What changed?

current fan creation landscape is kinda like if you went to a party with a homemade cake and everyone takes a slice and silently thumbs up at you with no attempt to start a conversation except for occasionally some guy sits in the corner with a tape recorder critiquing the cake as though he was a restaurant critic and another guy is handing the cake to an uber driver like "yeah i need you to find a restaurant that makes cake like this so i can have more of it" and the only person that's talked to you in 30 minutes is a very sweet little guy who was like "hey i liked your cake" and then ran away apologizing for bothering you the moment you said thank you.
