“Love the people you love while they’re still here...no telling when you might lose them one day...” ~Rose Recently my big sister passed away over the weekend and it’s been hitting my family and I hard. I find myself to become distracted at the thought that she’s literally no longer here anymore. Although I’m not as close to her as I am to my brothers, I still felt extremely hurt after hearing that she past away. I just couldn’t believe it ‘cause she was active on her social media account the day before. I felt like I was trying to hold in my pain the day my grandmother told me. But later it eventually hit me. My brothers and I had all gathered around each other just crying not only over her death, but just by all the stuff that’s been happening. This Covid-19 stuff is just too surreal. Life is guaranteed to not change back to normal at any given time as of right now. More people are dying each and everyday, even as I’m typing up this post. Michigan, according to many reports, is the highest state in the country with more people attracting the virus than those getting vaccinated. I still don’t trust getting vaccinated after all these reports of rare cases, etc. And even then, someone in my household fell gravely ill and we thought that they had Covid-19. They had to get tested and continued fighting off whatever they had as the results came in. Knowing that we could lose this person too hit us even harder. It made the last few days just the worst so far during this damned pandemic. It even almost made me consider getting the vaccine, as I’m tired of seeing soo much death within such a small time frame. Luckily, the tests came back negative. Not sure what they had, but I assumed was some sort of stomach virus. Anyways, I just want you to know that it’s ok to cry when you need to. Holding it in just makes you feel worse. It’s ok to feel sad over someone you lost. Talk about how you feel to people. Never be silent! Yes, I even struggle to do that sometimes. But just know in the end, you’ll be ok. Hell, you’ve made it this far! You can go literally even farther.
