The Man Arrested for Lurking Outside Taylor Swift’s Home Has Done This Before

According to police, a man was arrested Tuesday outside Taylor Swift’s New York apartment.

Lucas Vorsteveld, 25, was ringing Swift’s buzzer when he was detained by Swift’s security until police could arrive. Paparazzi photos — there is always a swarm outside Swift's apartment — show police arresting Vorsteveld in front of Swift’s swanky building on Franklin Street in Tribeca. He was reportedly taken to a hospital for evaluation.

Swift was not home at the time.

Vorsteveld is apparently an aspiring musician who “needs Taylor Swift to help his career,” a New York Police Department source told the Daily News.

However, this isn’t the first time Vorsteveld has tried to make contact with Swift. In May 2013, Vorsteveld faced trespassing charges after police caught him walking on a private road which leads to Swift’s Rhode Island home at 2:15 in the morning.

Swift has sort of a storied history with stalkers. In February, police were called to Swift’s L.A. residence because another aspiring musician was waiting outside. A third man had been arrested at the same home just weeks earlier. In 2014, a judge sentenced Daniel Cole to a year of probation and ordered him to have no further contact with Swift after he was arrested at Swift’s Rhode Island mansion.

Fortunately, Swift’s got a friend who can relate to her. Eternal bestie Selena Gomez actually had to sell her Calabasas mansion last year after a relentless stalker left her fearing for her safety. The man was arrested several times within her gated community and once even managed to get onto her property.

Pamela Anderson Says She Likes Aging

Having spent the majority of her life well aware that teenaged boys everywhere are storing her photos under mattresses, in sock drawers, or in whatever other godforsaken place, it’s understandable why Pamela Anderson feels at ease with the process of aging. 

No one could argue that Anderson hasn’t gone through it, but at 48, she’s come out on the other end.

“I actually like aging,” the blond bombshell says in an interview with W magazine. “I have great older female role models in my life, including my amazing mom, who have glitz, glamour, and all sorts of fun. Getting older isn’t the end. I know I have so much to look forward to.”

In a new short film, Connected, Anderson tackles aging head-on, via her character Jackie, a spin instructor looking for purpose. Anderson says it’s a struggle to which she relates.

“Aging is something we all deal with,” she says. “At a certain age, you can find yourself at a loss. Your children are grown. You may have gone through a divorce. You’re trying to find meaning. What’s your purpose now? You’ve raised your kids, and now they think you’re a little crazy, because you’re trying to do all these self-help things. You become distant from everybody. You’re searching for answers. If I do all these things to look younger — the creams, the classes, the supplements, the procedures — I’ll be more accepted by my kids, my friends, men. You’re dealing with so much loss at this age. It seems like everything is behind us, so what’s next? We took a lot of things for granted —youth, beauty. But now what?”

But if you’re looking for Anderson’s secret — she did just return to her Baywatch roots — she says it’s relatively simple: “I know it sounds like a cliché, but happiness has a lot to do with beauty. Calm, peacefulness and not-constant stress are very, very important to feeling beautiful and confident. And that comes across whether you’re wearing makeup or not. I remember looking in the mirror during filming and saying, ‘Who is this person? How did I let myself get to this place?’”

The very recent past has been a little stressful for Anderson, who went through her second divorce from Rick Saloman last year. She says now she barely recognizes herself in photos taken during that time.

“I look back at pictures of myself when I was in this awful relationship, and I looked 20 years older,” she notes.

Kristin Chenoweth Knows Exactly What the Voice in Your Dog’s Head Sounds Like

If there’s one unmistakable thing about Kristin Chenoweth, it’s that voice. And when she’s not winning Tony Awards or charming the pants off audiences worldwide, she’s picking human voices for dogs. Fortunately, she’s now found a way to get paid doing just that, as the face, er, voice of Mars Petcare’s Mix Mania program, which encourages dog owners to mix wet and dry food for their dog’s complete nutrition.

We spoke with Kristin Chenoweth about her busy schedule and about her own dog, Maddie, who truly has no idea how special her owner is.

Yahoo Celebrity: I would be remiss if I had you here and we didn’t talk about Tony nominations. Kristin Chenoweth: Oh, yeah. I just saw a lot of exciting things and, of course, the natural snubs. I hear Jesse Tyler Ferguson should have been nominated [for Fully Committed]. I was really happy for — I mean, Hamilton is going to break records, but I was really happy for Megan Hilty, who’s known for musical theater, getting nominated for a play [Noises Off]. I like that, it’s cool and it makes it different.

What was your favorite thing you saw this year? I have to say, I’m so proud of Spring Awakening. My friend Michael Arden directed it, I feel like that was deserving. [Spring Awakening was nominated for three Tonys, including one for Arden.] I feel like it was a revival that you go, That’s a real revival. It made it different, but it was true to the material. I loved it. Then, of course, I’m like everybody else, I love Hamilton. One thing I really want to see, well, I want to see She Loves Me because I love Laura [Benanti] and I know half the cast. I want to see Humans really badly, there’s a lot I actually want to see and I’m going to get there, I just need a second. I’m going to see The Color Purple, I’m just playing catch-up.

Last year, you were a host and a nominee. Are you going to be there this year? I believe I have a gig that night, I know I’m not going to be in New York, which bums me out, because I love that they’ve asked James Corden to [host] it. I just think he’s everything. And he has a background on Broadway. So it’s like the double whammy. It’s perfect, and I know he’s going to kill it.

So you’ll be watching from home later. I’ll probably be watching after my concert, I’ll come off stage and I’ll turn it on and ... I want to know how he’s going to open, you know? I’m excited for him. He deserves all the good things that are coming his way right now. I mean Carpool Karaoke, he’s made that a thing.

You should do one. I would love to. Last time I was on his show we did a little duet of [singing] “We’ve got tonight, who needs tomorrow. ...” We did that song. I think I’ve only done his show once. I’m going back in a couple weeks. I adore him.

You’re partnering up with Mars Petcare, doing voiceovers of dogs in their commercials. Did you make up your lines spontaneously, or were they scripted? I would say it’s a “combo platter.” There were kind of suggestions, maybe you could do one with an English accent. Like, the first dog is totally just me imitating my dad. Any of us who have pets, we’ve all given them a voice.

What does your dog, Maddie, sound like? She’s a little bit bipolar. Sometimes she’s [disinterested voice] What? What do you think? Like, you’re gonna sing that again, really? I’m leaving the room. Other times she’s like [Valley Girl voice] Oh my God, Mom, are you serious? She’s a Valley Girl slash over it.

So she’s bicoastal. She’s East Coast/West Coast. [laughs] That’s exactly right. Perfect.

You have a video where you’re singing to her and she was not... She hates my voice. I cannot rehearse at my home with a piano and my conductor because she either throws a fit or she leaves the room.

Maddie does not know what she has. Maddie don’t care.

Maddie has a front row seat to a concert that runs for how much money? Ranges from $50 to $200.

Maddie’s got it good. I tried to tell her that! People pay to hear me sing; she’s like, “Take care, brush your hair.”

How long have you been a dog lover? My whole life. I love animals. I like cats too, I love animals so much. I’m probably a little partial to dogs because cats can be a little bit like, “You were gone for a while, gonna make you suffer.” I don’t need the guilt, I already have enough. So dogs are like, “Heyyyyyy.” Of course, I picked the one dog that is like the cat. She’s like, “You were gone, so now I’m going to pee on your bed.” But it doesn’t matter, I know that dog loves me. I got her the day after we opened Wicked as a present to myself and she’s the best gift. She has really made my life better. Sometimes it sounds stupid, but you’ll be upset about something or someone’s sick or something horrible has happened and you’re crying, and she just goes [pawing the air], “What’s wrong?” She pats me and I just look at her and it feels better.

Does that make partnering up with Mars easier, because you’ve got the passion for it? Yes, obviously it’s way easier for me to talk about things I’m passionate about. And they were so good to my local shelter in Oklahoma. They gave them a ton of free wet food and they made a big donation. I take notice of that, it matters to me.

Recording dog voiceovers is not the only thing you’re doing. You’re on tour, which is probably grueling. I love it, it’s hard. Everything is hard except for, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., and I’m the happiest, and all the other crap is worth it.

How long is this tour? Never-ending. [laughs] Which I’m thankful for. I get to make a living at what I love.

You’ve also got some movies coming out, you’re doing a voice in the My Little Pony movie. Listen, My Little Pony could perhaps be my best work. We’ll see soon. I actually haven’t started it. But I am excited and proud of the fact that I get to develop my own pony, I’ve been told.

Were you a My Little Pony girl? I was, because I always wanted that long hair. I’m excited to develop mine, I wonder if hers will be black. I might have a big, long black mane. I think that might be cool.

Jamie Lee Curtis Details Past Opiate Addiction in Reaction to Prince’s Death

In a new essay for The Huffington Post, Jamie Lee Curtis opens up about the opiate addiction she and millions of other Americans — reportedly including Prince — have struggled with.

“I too, waited anxiously for a prescription to be filled for the opiate I was secretly addicted to,” Curtis writes. “I too, took too many at once. I too, sought to kill emotional and physical pain with painkillers. Kill it. Make it stop.”

The New York Times has reported that Prince sought help for an opiate addiction — most likely due to long-term use of prescription painkillers — shortly before his death. In fact, it was reportedly a man named Andrew Kornfeld, the son of pain medication addiction specialist Dr. Howard Kornfeld, who found Prince unresponsive in his elevator and called 911.

Curtis writes that she became addicted to opiates after she was prescribed painkillers following a medical procedure.

In fact, that’s how many people in America become addicts. First seeking a high from painkillers and eventually succumbing to a full-fledged heroin addiction.

Curtis calls herself “one of the lucky ones,” as she has been in recovery for 17 years. According to the American Society of Addiction Medicine, painkiller overdoses led to 18,893 accidental deaths in America in 2014, with another 10,574 people dying from accidental heroin overdoses.

“It seems now that the governmental body, the AMA, the FDA, and the media are starting to address the rampant epidemic of opiate addiction. There have been reclassifications and attempts at reigning in the overprescription of opiates,” Curtis writes. “Let’s work harder, look closer, and do everything we can not to enable and in doing so, disable, our loved ones who are ill.”

Curtis has spoken about her addiction issues before. In another essay, also written for The Huffington Post, following Michael Jackson’s death, Curtis wrote: “The morphine becomes the warm bath from which to escape painful reality. I was a lucky one. I was able to see that the pain had started long ago and far away and that the finding the narcotic was merely a matter of time.”

Someday, when robot-human hybrids have colonized Mars, cultural anthropologist-bots will have a lot to bleep-borp about this moment — that our very most popular moment is a Boy Teen King's whiny missive about his ex, who has since written several kiss-off anthems about him.

In the less than two months since Bieber posted the snap — captioned "feels" — it has earned more than 3.5 million likes. This edges out the previously most-liked photo on Instagram, one of Kendall Jenner's hair. We truly are the dullest society in human history.

While Bieber continues to pine after the one that got away, Gomez has made it pretty clear she's got no further interest in Bieber. Asked about that video of him serenading her before the AMAs, she told Rolling Stone: "[H]onestly, what I would love to be printed is that I am so beyond done with talking about that, and him."

No Bad Blood Here: Michael Sheen, Sarah Silverman, and Kate Beckinsale Pose Together on the Red Carpet

There are at least some adults in Hollywood. Not only did Sarah Silverman and Michael Sheen come out to support his ex, Kate Beckinsale, at the premiere of her new movie Tuesday night, but the threesome also posed for photos together.

Sheen and Beckinsale dated from 1995 until 2003; they have a daughter together, 16-year-old Lily. Since splitting up, they remain close friends and co-parents. Sheen has been dating Silverman since 2014, and Beckinsale is single again, having recently announced the end of her marriage to director Len Wiseman.

“We were very lucky in that we didn't have an acrimonious split,” Beckinsale said of her and Sheen’s relationship in 2003. “We are still very close and [Lily] sees us around each other."

Beckinsale has also called Sheen “one of my absolutely favorite people ever.”

At the premiere of Whit Stillman’s Love & Friendship Tuesday, in which Beckinsale co-stars alongside Chloë Sevigny, not only was Sheen and Beckinsale’s closeness palpable, but it also appeared that Beckinsale bonded with her former partner’s new girlfriend.

Despite having played Liz Lemon’s ultimate nightmare of a boyfriend on 30 Rock, in real life Michael Sheen is quite the ladies’ man. In addition to Beckinsale and Silverman, Sheen has been linked to his on-screen wife Caitlin FitzGerald, TV host Carrie Keagan, and British ballerina Lorraine Stewart, whom he dated for five years. He was also in a two-year relationship with Rachel McAdams, after the two met on the set of Midnight in Paris.

By all accounts, Sheen is an attentive father and partner, and he credits fatherhood with calming him.

“If I feel there is a situation where somebody is being very badly behaved or out of control or upsetting people needlessly, then I don’t hold back. I try to sort that out, but that happens less and less,” Sheen told Britain’s Seven magazine in 2010. “I think being a parent changes that. You can’t go flying off the handle all the time. You have to learn to be patient and tolerant. You can’t just walk away and you can’t just shout. It’s about people accepting your flaws as much as you accepting theirs… I don’t hit anyone any more. I haven’t hit anyone for a long time.”

Demi Lovato Did Not Have Fun at Her First Met Gala 😭

How’s this sound to you: an evening in one of America’s premiere museums, catered food, and private performances by The Weeknd and Lady Gaga. It sounds pretty damn special, no? Well Demi Lovato will pass thank you very much; you see there’s a Forensic Files marathon on and life is for the other people who are living.

Lovato attended her very first Met Gala on Monday night and it seems she did not really have a very good time. Again, she got to wear a free designer gown and watch some of the world’s top recording artists perform underneath the Temple of Dendur. But, sure, sounds like a real bummer to us too.

On Instagram, Lovato bemoaned the experience, calling it “so f**king awkward” and “not for me.” She said the 2016 Met Gala will probably be her last. In the photo, she’s getting an epic amount of side eye from Nicki Minaj as she poses with designer Jeremy Scott.

But it’s possible that an Instagram snub from Minaj is the reason for all of Lovato’s hard feelings.

A couple hours before Lovato’s post, Minaj posted a shot of her own, in which she declares her love for Scott and his label Moschino, while completely ignoring Lovato’s presence. (Lovato was also wearing Moschino at the gala.)

The thing is, suck it up, Demi Lovato. The Met Gala is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that 99% of the population will never even come close to seeing. Besides, Solange Knowles once had a really bad Met Gala and she’s managed to turn it around.

Eddie Murphy Is a Dad for the Ninth Time

Fortunately, Eddie Murphy’s got the fortune of Zamunda in his coffers because raising nine kids isn’t cheap.

Murphy’s longtime girlfriend Paige Butcher gave birth to the couple’s first child together, a girl named Izzy Oona Murphy, on Tuesday.

“The baby weighed 7 lbs., 15oz. and was 19-1/2 inches at birth,” the actor’s publicist Arnold Robinson said in a statement to The Insider With Yahoo. “Both mother and daughter are doing well.”

Murphy, 55, has one son with his ex-girlfriend Paulette McNeely, another son with ex-girlfriend Tamara Hood, five children (four girls and a boy) with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell, and a daughter with ex-girlfriend Melanie Brown. Murphy started dating Butcher, 36, in 2012.

Izzy is Butcher’s first child.

But don’t expect to see pictures of Izzy all over social media anytime soon. In 2013, Butcher told Vanity Fair why she shies away from the Internet: “I’m in a relationship now with a celebrity, so I felt like there’s already enough of me out there,” Butcher said. “I was giving people too much access. I like to keep as much private as possible now.”

Jennifer Hudson Does Not Mince Words Addressing Her Tony Snub

A fun fact about Jennifer Hudson is that she has two dogs named “Oscar” and “Grammy.” It looks like she won’t be adding a “Tony” to the family any time soon, as she was left off this morning’s list of Tony nominations.

Hudson, an Oscar and Grammy winner, is currently starring in The Color Purple opposite Cynthia Erivo and Danielle Brooks, playing Shug Avery, a role which earned Elisabeth Withers a Tony nomination in the show’s original Broadway run. Margaret Avery played Shug in the 1985 film and was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance.

The Color Purple was not shut out entirely: it received four Tony nominations for Best Revival of a Musical, Best Direction of a Musical, and acting nominations for both Erivo and Brooks.

Needless to say, many of Hudson’s fans were disappointed she wasn’t nominated as well. However, they weren’t nearly as disappointed as Hudson was herself, a fact she made very clear on Twitter.

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik Make Their Red Carpet Debut at the Met Gala

Even if you’ve only been paying passive attention, you’re aware that Beautiful Humans™ Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are together. The couple hasn’t exactly been shy about it: they spent Zayn’s entire music video for “Pillowtalk” stomping in various directions and holding their faces impossibly close together, then they also posed for Vogue together, draped over various props throughout Naples.

But at 2016’s Met Gala, Hadid and Malik made their official red carpet debut, just like a deb ball, but one to which Anna Wintour must personally invite you.

Going with the night���s Manux X Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology theme, Malik wore armored sleeves over his Versace tuxedo and Hadid rocked some giant rings with a metallic Tommy Hilfiger gown.

It takes a lot of work to look this photogenic. While you were reconsidering that spin class, hitting snooze, making a groggy commute to work, and catching up on emails from the weekend, Kim Kardashian was readying herself for tonight’s Met Gala.

Since just after midnight last night, Kardashian has been preparing for Anna Wintour’s annual gala-to-end-all-galas.

Patton Oswalt Pays Tribute to Late Wife Michelle McNamara With Quote From His Daughter

A week after his wife, true crime writer Michelle McNamara, passed away suddenly, Patton Oswalt shared a heartbreaking quote from his daughter on Sunday.

Alice, 7, is Patton and Michelle’s only child.

McNamara, who married Oswalt in 2005, passed away in her sleep on April 21, according to her publicist.

It was “a complete shock to her family and friends, who loved her dearly,” her publicist said. No cause of death has been given yet.

Oswalt, who has something of a complicated history with Twitter, has been mostly silent since McNamara’s passing, but memorialized her by remembering her work last week.

That same tweet pointed to a tribute page set up in McNamara’s honor, seeking donations to 826LA, a non-profit which helps foster children’s love for writing. McNamara ran a website called True Crime Diary, which sought to solve both new and cold cases.

Ronda Rousey Makes Red Carpet Debut With Fellow UFC Fighter Travis Browne

A wise woman once pointed out that love is a battlefield, but for fellow mixed martial artists Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne, things look peaceful. The pair made their first red carpet appearance together as a couple Thursday night at the Erasing the Stigma Leadership Awards in Beverly Hills, an event that honors mental health advocates.

Rousey, 29, and Browne, 33, have been dating since last October, though at the time he was technically still married to fitness model Jenna Reneé Webb, who is now his ex-wife.

Rousey has taken some time off from UFC after her surprise loss to Holly Holm in November. However, she credits Browne’s companionship with helping her through a rocky patch after the career setback.

“I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself, and that exact second I’m like, ‘I’m nothing — what do I do anymore, and no one gives a s**t about me anymore without this,’” Rousey told Ellen DeGeneres. “To be honest I looked up and I saw my man Travis was standing up there and I looked up at him and I was like, I need to have his babies. I need to stay alive.”

However, things are looking significantly better for Rousey these days. For starters, Browne and Webb’s divorce was finalized in February.

Also, it was just announced that Rousey has signed a three-movie deal with Lifetime. According to Deadline, she will help develop “stories that reflect her passions about empowerment to the screen.”
