First week back! Feels good to be tattooing again though a bit surreal. My studio has a bit of a new look. I tried to minimalism a little but I added a pole I screen as you walk in, a very efficient mounted air filter, exhaust system and mini fan, an AC with HEPA filter and activated carbon filtering. I have street clothes and I have special work clothing that I change into upon arrival. Setting up is done with a mask and as always gloves. I get to wear these awesome flamanco looking sleeve guards too. Feel free to enjoy my dance routines 😉 if you catch one. Lol. As always, everything that can be wrapped is and booties and a mask will now be provided for you when you arrive as well. A face shield is provided if needed. No extra charge for any of this (folks have been asking.) I am only seeing one client a day and the filters are run a hour before and after anyone arrives including it running the entire appointment. Of course all surfaces are cleaned with a high level medical grade disinfectant. I did sacrifice these pair of sleeve guards and gloves for the photo but I try to be as efficient and conservative as possible. I have vegan tattoo inks and don’t use any other animal products when tattooing. I use biodegradable bamboo handle razors when I can and biodegradable ink caps when possible. I strive to make any effort I can to be better to the environment but these days it’s quite challenging in this industry. I love flowers and their representations there of. The meditation of being tattooed is can not be replicated. I needed this.
