Yesterday my little brother told me something very sweet and touching, that when he was a kid and had nightmares about monsters chasing him or whatever he would be able to end the nightmare by finding me in the dream and I would protect him by fighting off the zombies, or carrying him away. This is adorable, and makes me feel like the greatest older sibling in the world, but the hilarious thing is that when I was a kid I had nightmares of needing to save him from zombies and such. so many dreams where he was in trouble and I needed to save him. Like my nightmares began where his ended. Low key I think he mastered the ability to psychically transfer his nightmare to me as a child and I'm kind of annoyed with him.

okay actually i do need to say this. before i sleep. because if you genuinely believe that buck. BUCK BUCKLEY. truly saw a future with tommy and that this relationship was any different to his previous relationships. you do not understand buck buckley and frankly you never have. like, this is made abundantly clear during the conversation with josh. if you actually care to pay attention. because time and time again buck bases his identity, self-worth and happiness on the person he is dating. josh asks him if he considers tommy's happiness in the same way he considers his own. and buck's answer is yes, of course. because he is fundamentally unable to tell the difference between the two. because he thinks that making tommy happy is the same as being happy himself. when, actually, it's at the expense of his own happiness. he misunderstands entirely what josh is trying to say. he impulsively asks tommy to move in with him because he thinks it will make tommy happy which will then also make him happy. because buck is nothing if not a people pleaser. due to, well. the Trauma. he never got off the hamster wheel. dating a man didn't fix any of this. because it was never about that (and suggesting it was is, well. biphobic actually). buck's issue has always been that he does not know how to be in a relationship without shrinking himself down to the shape and size of a person he thinks his partner wants and losing himself in the process. which he was about to do again. and well. lmao. for once tommy's self-preservation was actually a good thing. because wow, that could have been taylor all over again.

“eddie said he was straight” he also said he was undeserving of love, forgiveness, or joy in the same scene and then by the end of the episode he was shedding his mask and taking off his protective layer and dancing around half naked in his living room with music blasting and then collapsing onto the couch with buck who is single and in his home. like i’m sorry but how do you not see that this is all part of the same thing 😭 is Peppa Pig your idea of a complex piece of cinema

it’s been said by others, but i just rewatched the episode so i can confirm it’s factually correct.
it’s so unbelievably significant that in an episode called confessions, buck and eddie don’t speak a single word to each other. their confessions are in the negative space. they aren’t ready to share them yet, but the confessions are there.

JUST THE SYMBOLISM OF EDDIE FREEING HIMSELF AND BEING SO FUCKING JOYOUS ON HIS OWN, AND THEN SETTLING DOWN AND THEN BUCK TURNING UP AND JUST BEING SO UNASHAMEDLY WELCOMING TO HIM AND MEETING HIM EXACTLY WHERE THEY ARE BOTH AT.
THEY MEET EACH OTHER WITH COMPLETE ACCEPTANCE AND UNDERSTANDING

Sooooooooooooo … let me get this straight:
Eddie went to confession and talked about cheating on … his best friend … and then later immediately told a hot guy he was not a homosexual AS SOON AS the priest started talking to him … then discussed being joyful and later shaved off his beard which beforehand he said was against regulation and danced in his underwear
Meanwhile Buck’s boyfriend gave him an awful anniversary gift … joked that Buck could use it with his best friend instead … Buck found out his boyfriend used to be engaged to the first woman Buck loved who messed him up big time … then Buck had a whole heart to heart with someone else about what it means to be queer and does he want to kiss other boys actually? … then his boyfriend breaks up with him cause he’s not his endgame … so Buck goes to Eddie’s house to sit on his couch and drink beer with him … whILE EDDIE IS IN A STATE OF UNDRESS AFTER DANCING AND ALSO FREE OF HIS “beard”
???????????????????????

911 is so beautifully heavy handed i love it so much. the lakers tickets being a call back to how they got together (basketball game that turned buck evil and was literally about eddie). tommy being the one to randomly bring up eddie. i'm not your last. eddie defensively saying i'm straight. eddie letting himself feel joy and then literally opening the door to buck. they are not dropping crumbs they are dropping entire loafs of bread and i am saying THANK YOU
