Happy New Year everyone! Don’t go overboard with the resolutions and the plans. Take it easy, but try to fill each day with growth and satisfaction. Do something - even the smallest thing- every day that your future self will be proud of.

sick of James Potter being thought of as a dumbass jock. This is the guy that managed to almost independently become an Animagus AT FIFTEEN and help his friends do it, something highly experienced wizards are incapable of without significant skill. He and Sirius were canonically two of the smartest in their year. Sirius was talented but never as focused as James. Then there’s the freaking Marauder’s Map, an incredibly complex piece of work. I refuse to believe he was not as skilled as Snape and would not put up a fight in a duel. James vs Snape has parallels with Dumbledore vs Voldemort in the sense that both the former are just as good wizards, but better people and wouldn’t stoop to the latter’s level.

very tired of the ‘Dick Grayson is mostly a pretty boy with bad puns, golden retriever vibes’ trope. Give me German Shepherd Dick. Give me the ‘consummate performer’ Dick. The one all, brilliance, bloody smiles and showmanship, the one with razor sharp wit and charm made weapon. Dick who seamlessly switches between a million personas. The one who doesn’t know what to do when the show’s over. Give me the Dick no one wants to be on the wrong side of because Nightwing might not start battles, but he finishes them. The only one whose threats the entire Batfam (including Bruce) takes seriously. The one fear toxins can’t affect because he’s been to hell and back.

The Dick who unlike Jason doesn’t even mention how much he’s been fucked up and survived. The one the Joker knew he couldn’t break.
