25. They/Them. Lover of books! Owner of the queer fiction masterlist
Don't wanna be here? Send us removal request.
Note
Would it be okay if an author submitted their own book to the master list?
That's absolutely fine (and often preferred as authors know their books best!)
Thank you!

Our Share of Night by Mariana Enriquez should be added. The focal character is not shown to be queer, but the majority of the other MCs are and it follows several gay, bi, and poly storylines. It is also just a magnificently written and deeply moving novel that I was not expecting to enjoy as much as I did. Originally published in Spanish as Nuesta Parte de Noche
Please submit to the masterlist!
As long as at least one of the main characters is queer, then the book definitely can be included. Please be sure that they are a main character/have a POV and aren't just a very important side character :)
Thank you!

Reminder that the publisher that sent unsolicited and unconsented for sex toys to people is the SAME one still currently under boycott, and that this boycott is explicitly to not do promotion or reviews of their titles. This boycott has been going on since October of 2023, and since they have not responded it is still ongoing.
And yes, this includes any titles you may have on Netgalley (or other arc review sites).
"But wait, my feedback ratio!" I hear you cry.
There's a solution for that. When the boycott started I had about 2 SMP titles, and 1 I had just reviewed. And on NG using the "will not provide feedback" option negatively affects your feedback score, so no, I'm not suggesting that.
Here are the 3 "reviews" for the titles I had from the boycotted publisher.
And then I have not requested or taken any of their titles that they've placed on "Read Now" to try to force an end to the boycott.
Doing this has not affected my acceptance rate for titles I request, by the way. Publishers who rejected me beforehand still do, publishers who generally accepted me still do, and ones where it was a 50/50 are still about the same.

If you've ever used the LGBTQIA+ masterlist, consider donating a dollar or two to my Kofi!
I pay $12 monthly to upkeep the masterlist - at this point I don't make any ad revenue - I would love to continue hosting this and I am working on making this more mobile friendly!
Also, if you feel like purchasing a book, consider using the purchase link attached to every book! I will earn a small commission (though so far, no one has purchased directly from the list, which I believe is because I link to Bookshop.org instead of Amazon!)
How to Use the Queer Book Master List
I have created a master list of queer fiction books which can be sorted and filtered by your preferences. However, many have asked how to use it - so I have created a quick guide below!
This is not like google sheets - any filters you create will only be shown to you and will disappear when you exit that screen. So feel free to mess around! I promise you won’t ruin anything.
Step 1: Open the database
Step 2: Select the “Create Your Own Filter” view on the left-hand side.
Step 3: Click “filter” on the top bar.
Step 4: Input any filters you would like to organize the files by. The screen will automatically update with books that fit into all of your specifications.

A large portion of the online book community has been participating in a months-long marketing boycott against St. Martin’s Press, a publishing imprint under MacMillan—a Big Five publishing house—and against associated imprints under St. Martin’s Publishing Group. The boycott started in October after community members found anti-Palestinian and Islamophobic posts as well as misinformation related to the genocide in Gaza being posted on social media by a St. Martin’s Press employee. As of writing, the boycott continues, with the publisher largely unresponsive to allegations underlined by the campaign, which include unequal treatment toward BIPOC creators and authors by the publisher.

Part nine of three random books from my queer fiction masterlist! Have you read any of these? What were your thoughts?
❤️ Several of the books on this list are self-published or do not get a lot of recognition, so I thought, what better way to share than use a random number generator to grab 3 books at a time and share them with all of you!
💛 For right now I am focusing on the first in a series or books that can be read as standalones. I also try to skip over any that might be blatantly harmful.
💚 So what do you think? Think you will be adding any of these books to your TBR?

🍉 Queer Palestinian Books 🍉
🇵🇸 The algorithm is going to keep silencing my posts, but they're not going to silence me. I grew up with little to no books that made me feel seen as a queer/bisexual Palestinian Arab American. Today, it's still not easy enough to find those books online, even though we have thousands of lists, posts, and directories to guide us. To make your search a little easier, here are a few queer Palestinian books to add to your TBR. Please help me spread this by reblogging. Consider adding these to your least for Read Palestine Week (click for resources)! 💜
🍉 The Skin and Its Girl by Sarah Cypher 🇵🇸 A Map of Home by Randa Jarrar 🍉 Hazardous Spirits by Anbara Salam 🇵🇸 To All the Yellow Flowers by Raya Tuffaha 🍉 You Exist Too Much by Zaina Arafat 🇵🇸 The Specimen's Apology by George Abraham 🍉 Birthright by George Abraham 🇵🇸 Nayra and the Djinn by Iasmin Omar Ata 🍉 Where Black Stars Rise by Nadia Shammas and Marie Enger 🇵🇸 The Twenty-Ninth Year by Hala Alyan 🍉 Guapa by Saleem Haddad 🇵🇸 From Whole Cloth: An Asexual Romance by Sonia Sulaiman
🍉 The Philistine by Leila Marshy 🇵🇸 Love Is an Ex-Country by Randa Jarrar 🍉 Shell Houses by Rasha Abdulhadi 🇵🇸 Queer Palestine and the Empire of Critique by Sa'ed Atshan 🍉 Belladonna by Anbara Salam 🇵🇸 Confetti Realms by Nadia Shammas, Karnessa, Hackto Oshiro 🍉 Blood Orange by Yaffa As 🇵🇸 The ordeal of being known by Malia Rose 🍉 Decolonial Queering in Palestine by Walaa Alqaisiya 🇵🇸 Are You This? Or Are You This?: A Story of Identity and Worth by Madian Al Jazerah, Ellen Georgiou 🍉 This Arab Is Queer: An Anthology by LGBTQ+ Arab Writers 🇵🇸 My Mama's Magic by Amina Awad

my friend's book comes out today!!
[ID: a lavender book cover with two white women in Victorian gowns giving each other side glances and holding hands. The title reads "Don't Want You Like a Best Friend" and the author is "Emma R. Alban." end ID]
A swoon-worthy debut queer Victorian romance in which two debutantes distract themselves from having to seek husbands by setting up their widowed parents, and instead find their perfect match in each other—the lesbian Bridgerton/Parent Trap you never knew you needed!
I'm so proud of Emma!! If you like queer historical romance like The Queer Principles of Kit Webb, you should pick up this book.
