I’ve always tried to tell myself, not allow myself to let my past dictate my future. While I’m a firm believer your past plays a vital part in who you are as a person, it doesn’t and can’t define you. In the same ways we can learn from life’s different experiences...we can learn from our past. Don’t let it determine who you are today. But don’t be afraid to let it influence who you are either.

I try to make sure that every mistake I make is turned into a lesson. I’ve always been a firm believer in experience being one of the biggest teachers in life, bad or good. Just because you make one turn down the wrong path, doesn’t mean you won’t eventually end up on the right one.

Process, Progress, THEN Perfection. My process when I’m working on something. I tend to over obsess on the “perfection” part. When I haven’t done “enough.” Or I haven’t made it as far as I would like on something. Or even when I’ve hit a “wall.” I have to remind myself that ANY progress is still me making PROGRESS and moving forward, not backward.
