itss funny to me how the social media presence of that team has declined its not about the millions of followers but rather the significant drop in interactions. unbelievable— they even posted some photos of seb lol and maxs r the only ones getting major likes. they even cut checo out of one of their recent posts,, it really makes me wonder what kind of resentment is that? we know that the second driver is often seen as a disposable, but they’ve still posted about other drivers.. doesn’t really seem to be the case with checo, though,,,maybe they can't use his image for some reason (which, honestly, would make me so happy))

anyway, the love from the tt admin seems to have disappeared, or maybe they fired him for overusing chestappen and checos popularity to engage fans….. i just want the clips and lost media of checo pls

i get so happy when people that are new to fanfic writing, or just writing in general, post their work on ao3. despite their doubts, despite their fear of something so personal and vulnerable being perceived, they still press that button, and i turn into the equivalent to a proud mom cheering on the sidelines. like yes! you did that! your work is worth seeing! you deserve to share your passion for and be part of a community! i’m so proud of you!

Imagine being Diego Luna, having been the executive producer of a documentary that talks about independent journalism in Mexico and how it faces the problems of violence and forced disappearances due to drug trafficking and corruption in the country to the point of displacing, silencing, disappearing and/or killing journalists, then you go to the Golden Globes and see that they award a film by a Frenchman that gives redemption to a drug trafficker just for transitioning, when said Frenchman admited in his interviews that he did not investigate, nor was he interested in knowing the context in which Mexico lives at this moment.

Anyway, watch State of Silence, so you have the context why Emilia Pérez is a disgrace.

is it okay to just erase from our memory that checos time at rbr ever existed?

okay, i’ve seeing some edits of checo without the rb racing suit and the first thing that crossed my mind was, “f yeah, screw that team” right? i mean, this era brought a lot of joy to those who support him, but we also suffered immensely because of how badly they mistreated our driver. so “naturally” there’s this urge to put the few last years like a bad dream we want to forget, but… looking at it from another perspective, we can’t erase it or pretend it never happened. it’s more like a collective trauma.

knowing for a fact that that team is shit, pretending checos time there didn’t exist is doing them a favor (just see the abismal differences between some teams and their messages of goodbye, sadly not estie)... we need to endure the fact that our driver was there sacrificed so much for them, and gave everything he could, even when they didn’t value him.

so yeah, the edits r amazing but let’s also keep reminding what they had

edit; i just saw someone in x saying that the edits “erase his (sp11) wins😭” irony vibes lol, its so fun how diff opinions takes place. i agree with the “no promo, no interaction and no buying merch” 🙂‍↕️

like i'm sorry but we as a fandom have to stay firm on our anti-AI values. we cannot suddenly start giving AI a pass when it's something we "want to see" like destiel kisses. it's not suddenly fine. we're not going to start using AI to make fanfic scenes come to life or audio AI to make characters "say" stuff we want to hear. you have GOT to be firm on your anti-AI stance. if you start making exceptions then suddenly anything will fly. fandom is for real art and creations made by real people. no AI fanfics. no AI art. no AI rendered "bonus" scenes. no AI audio. none of it has a place here.

A Brief Guide on Reporting Plagiarism On Ao3:

Ao3 is a great site but their report system isn't as obvious as some others. They are really, really good at responding to complaits tho! Here's how to report something on Ao3:

Step 1: Go to the Ao3 homepage and look for the red bar at the top. Hit "About," then go to "FAQ".

Step 2: That will bring you to a list of links. Scroll down until you see "Glossary." It should be second to bottom on the list.

Step 3: Click on on the "Glossary" link. That should open up another list of links. The one you want is "Abuse" and should be at the very top of the secondary link list.

Step 4: Click the "Abuse" link. That will bring you to a section in the FAQ with links and a few short paragraphs. The one you want is called "Report Abuse Form". (Can also be found here)

Step 5: Click on the "Report Abuse Form" link. This will take you to the page with an informal way to report stuff to Ao3 (scroll down to find it). In that page, there is also a link to a formal DMCA complaint, but that requires much more information like you real name, address, and an actual physical letter to be sent, and not everyone can safely reveal that much about themselves.

Also, a reminder to everyone out there: This form is not meant to be used if you don't like the content. It is only for (as Ao3 also says on that page), fannish next-of-kin, account recovery, breaches of the Ao3 Terms of Service, and DMCA/copyright issues.

Personal dislike of content on Ao3 is not how this is supposed to be used. Flooding the volunteer team with phony complaints will only waste time and prevent them from helping people with a genuine problem.
