Few sacred places in the world has such an intense history as Hagia Sophia in Istanbul: entering it's door is like travelling through centuries of history. Built in 537 ad, it was the biggest church of Christianity, before the fall of Constantinople, when it was converted to a mosque. Christianity and Islam are melted in a unique blend of architecture and style. In 1935 it was declared a museum, a treasury for whole humanity, until this year when (the dictatorship of) Erdogan restablished it as a mosque. A beautiful and curious Capra Ibex, up to 2.500 meters in the Italian alps! Finally some (new) wildlife shots in my home country: I have photographed all kind of wildlife around the world but never in Italy, so I decided to change that. Well, definitely not as easy as an african safari!! To get here we had to trek up to the alps for 3 hours, but it was worth it to get these shots. To not scare them, I had to crawl in the rocks, hiding behind them, even if obviously the Ibex spotted me. Trabucco are ancient wooden structure used by fishermen to catch fish directly from the coast. Few of them remains in the coasts of South of Italy, and they are truly a wonder.
