I managed to draw a sketch today. I know I always complain and feel sorry for myself, but I can't shake this depression. I just look at the sketch book and think "What for?" I will try to shake this. It might be my new antidepressants. Sometimes they have depression as side effect a few weeks.

So, this is how the swimming girl look when she is finished. I think you are going to have to look at her one more time. This is going to be an entry into an art challenge. I'm going to add some stuff, like a sunken boat and maybe a shark swimming in the distance so it's visible that she's swimming under water, not flying or falling. I think it works like I'll post the entry here and tag the name of the challenge under it. However, this one is for you guys and gals here, so you can see what became of the drawing in the post before this.

I'm doing a drawing that I'm going to spend a couple of days on and enter into a competition I was invited to by someone in the sketch community. I checked out the blog and read the description and it sounds fun and interesting. This is what I've done sofar:

1. One oval for the head, one for the chest, a circle for the pelvis and a circle binding pelvis and chest together.

2. I line out the torso into a peanut shape.

3. I mark out and make the planes of the body more visible.

4. I add arms and legs. There are some foreshortenings, so I have to erase the hatching to see what I draw more clearly. I also decide which way the face are going to be turned.

5. And lastly for this time, I add some support lines for the face and start to shape the head a little. I also fix the contours of the arms, legs and chest a bit.

When I was drawing the last, I noticed that I wasn't focusing as I should, looking away while I was drawing a line, ending up with weird crooked lines veering of in directions that made no sense, so I'm taking a break here, continuing tomorrow. Good morning! I woke up really early today, me sleep replaced by sunshine and birdsong. I drew this in bed, and I'm still in bed while posting it. A girl with glasses and a braid. Cute. I hope I'm starting to get back in shape again.

I have a little drawing I want to share today. I pressed a little hard with the pencil, drawing the guidelines, so I can't erase them completely. Also, I have been drawing a lot of comic style while practicing. I think that shines through a bit on this guy. But I'm glad to have something I want to post today. I like this guy. Hope you like him to.

Hi. I post how I draw hair today. I don't have any special revelations to share, but this is how I usually do.

I didn't have time to do the hair today. I'm gonna do that in about 4 steps. First the shape of the hair, then details, then shading and lastly highlights and fixing up. This is the face I'm going to use. I'll just fix the shape of the upper head. It doesn't matter, it's will be covered of hair anyway, but I want each frame to look as good as possible.

I'm doing faces this week, but I'm planning to put down some extra work on them and do real drawings, not just sketches, with shading, highlights and lineweight. Today I show how I'm supposed to draw a pair of eyes on a front face, even if I'm very seldom finish them like this when sketching. Tomorrow I'm planning on watching some videos on drawing hair and making something similar to this of what a deduced. The rest of the week I think I'll have time for 2-3 real facedrawings. But you know what they say happens when plans meet reality.

I also did a 3 step drawing on a right eye from ¾-view in comic style. But this is a direct redraw from Chommang. The front eyes is my own step by step instruction. Chommangs 3 step instruction below:

I've been counting the days all wrong! I thought it was Saturday today, and that I should draw another body drawing, but since its Monday tomorrow, that means face week starts. I'm going to draw the type of faces I use to, but put down a little extra work and draw them beautiful. So I will start with a day dedicated to practicing eyes. Then one day practicing hair. Then I'm going to see if I have time for 3 facedrawings. Because I'm going to do a sketch as usual, but then I'm going to "half erase" it and line it with a really black pencil, add more details and shade it properly. I hope it's going to live up to my expectations, and that you guys will like it too. (Girls, genderfluids and non binary are also included in "guys".)

It's a bodydrawing today to. I think I will post one tomorrow also, then I have to draw faces for a while so I don't forget how to do. Tell me what you think about posting it like this. I couldn't come up with a good looking way to draw on a bikini. It's not like she's naked, I have just not marked out any clothing.

It is another figure drawing today. They are hard to draw! Up until now, most of the time when I'm drawing a character, it looks like they standing there posing for a passport photo. I'm not used to drawing people in interesting poses. It will be great to learn, but damn hard now. This pose wasn't as simple as I thought it would be.

Figure drawing practice. I know it looks weird, but it's a very hard pose. The one I'm drawing for tomorrow is a very simple pose, so I no that will be better.
