There was a period in Neopets wherein all the faeries were designed to wear bell bottoms for some reason and honestly I kind of feel like getting rid of them was a downgrade

enough dresses, have a faerie show up ready to bless your Neopet and then head out to the disco afterward

This is a sort of visual theoretical study of neopets colours and the significance of magical and elemental alignments. I’ve mainly used Ixii, and supplemented with other pets to obtain the full colour spectrum. 

Basically I believe that almost all Neopets are born with a certain Elemental Alignment that’ll define how their colours are gonna be. The connection to the element can be weaker or stronger, and there can be connections to several elements at once. It is possible to change said alignment using Faerie magic, which is a clue as to how they have so much power in Neopia (but that’s an entirely different conversation). When I say almost all, it’s because we have the Grey pet, who would have no alignment to any element.

The element are symbolised in the first chart as the basic colours. Rainbow is in the middle because it would mean that the Rainbow Neopet is in perfect balance with all the elements. 

The next is an evolutionary standpoint, although since it is the magical land of neopets, all these different stages in evolution can live contemporarily. Amazing!

Then there’s the Neopet life cycle. Even though I believe that the pets are elementally aligned, they would also be affected of what environment they live in. This theory would make for really interesting visual combinations, for example: Water-aligned Faerie Neopet, Earth-aligned Darigan, etc.  I don’t see any reason that they wouldn’t maintain facets of their look throughout their lives, and even their deaths. So you could technically have the Ghost of a Fire-aligned Alien Neopet. It would be scary as heck, but also pretty cool :D Finally there’s a chart of magical origin, since there are magically enhanced Neopets. There are clear links between the elementally aligned and the magically enhanced, and I don’t see a reason as to why the magically enhanced pets couldn’t also be elementally aligned in some way - point and center, the Strawberry and Ice pets. The Msp and Robot links are just theories that seem like they could be likely, as I suppose it could feel quite exposed to be a transparent pet, and I just figured it would make sense that the MSP and the Wraith had something to do with each other.

I’m hoping that the end of the Wrath Resurgence will possibly provide some theories as to where Wraiths actually fit in on the spectrum. Please do let me know if there are missing colours, because I’ll be more than happy to put them into the context :)

Yeah sure there are plenty Darigan korbat denialists out there, but what people aren't ready to face is that if he isn't a korbat then the next logical conclusion is that he's actually a malnourished skeith

Face it, skeith have all the key features like big ears, the tail arrow thingies, a small triangle nose like what bat-thing Darigan had

And they have 6 limbs unlike korbats who have 4

but your looking at me and trying to tell me his pre-curse form is a korbat, but do you see even then he has 6 limbs AND an under-bite and what species has under-bites thats right skeith
