Lovely Runner has one of the best endings!!! I adored the last ep so much. It was exactly what was needed after the roller-coaster ride in the first 15 episodes. Just pure fluff, which didn't even get boring tbh. Like I didn't even realise where the hour went. I love that they resolved the kidnapper/killer plot in the first 5 mins of the episode and dedicated the rest of it to Sol and Sun jae getting their happy ending. And I absolutely loved how they showed the wedding scene. It wasn't cringey or overly done, it was just right!
I'm so glad I waited to watch this is show. The storyline was so engaging that the episodes just flew by! And the acting! Discovering that Sun jae had had a crush on Sol this entire time was such a wonderful revelation! He was so down bad for her and the adoration he had for her was just so sweet to watch. Both Sol and Sun Jae's characters are so well written.
I also really liked the fact that they dedicated the last three episodes to the present moment. I'm not usually someone who likes high school romance. And while I really enjoyed that aspect of this show, I absolutely loved them as adults. It was such a delight to watch Sun jae fall in love with Sol again in the present reality. No matter what reality they live in, he will always fall in love with her.
Lovely runner is just perfection from start to end. The pacing is perfect and the chemistry is just too good. I'm so happy to have watched this show!

I'm not gonna be swayed into assuming the worst from the ep 11 teaser because one, it's very short and two, they're not gonna show Hee joo in the teaser because it will take away from the suspense of the episode.

this is one of the most powerful shots of the entire show — sa-eon looking up at the largest; most loved presence in his life: heejoo; his one and only family. his beloved wife.
the use of his shadow here is entirely intentional: sa-eon is nothing more than a dark cut-out against the light of his wife's smile: indicating that he has always needed to be surrounded by her illumination to survive. to live.
heejoo has always been the lighthouse offering him a path home — the watchtower keeping vigil over him. see how he looks at her; with all the longing and shattered hope of a hundred brokenhearted poets: trusting that she can still guide him. trusting that she will restore in him his sense of direction.
sa-eon has done something extraordinary for the only love of his life in this episode: he has taken his public persona; a mask that he has been forced to wear for over a decade — and cast it completely aside for heejoo. he has declared to the world at large without a trace of hesitation that the only identity that matters to him; the only identity he cares about — is his existence as heejoo's husband.
even love touches the feet of such devotion.
i'm reminded of this line i read a long time ago when i think about the sheer reverence in sa-eon's gaze when he tells heejoo that his false life was given to him to meet her: "i love you more than the sun."
which is to say; i love you more than life. i love you more than the energy in the universe. i love you more than heat and warmth. i love you.

Okay, but can we talk about the fact that there's no preview for the next episode? I've been SAYING this for so long with kdramas! I hate that most previews spoil the episode (and yes I'm aware that I could stay away from the internet, but c'mon). I'm obsessed with finding out everything, so I'm so so HAPPY that they kept that from us. It will truly be a surprise and I'm so fucking excited. Keep me on my toes. Let me be blindsided.

They better give us half-naked Baek Sa Ron next episode to compensate for all the torture we're gonna have to endure by the end of the episode and then throughout the whole week
