By yourself For yourself
Chronic illness is more than pain; Our competence is diluted, Our goals fall behind, We seem weak, We become vulnerable. Yes we need support; Family to care for us, Friends to cheer us up, Lovers to give us a thrill. But unfortunately we can be treated as burdens and handled with pity. So our own effort Fighting by ourselves Fighting for our lives For our own good Is the most important, most powerful and most reliable

It is not a dislike for people But rather a dislike for the insensitive and unkind norms of people Makes me want to hop into my purse! However, when there's a full moon And I do come across loving and lovely people The antisocial in me takes a nap A cat nap to be exact And I engage

Bye-bye Mercury Retrograde
Rihanna - Needed me To ceremoniously end this insane phase "You needed me Oooh, you needed me To feel a little more, and give a little less Know you hate to confess But baby who, you needed me" This Mercury Retrograde lead unexpected and unusual suitors in my direction, They came in strongly and in numbers. But now not a single one is still around, I guess they needed me, A spoonie For thrill ^^, I'm not complaining though, it was overwhelming

Chronic nag
You know what? What goes up must come down So we wouldn't always nag If we weren't always in pain Right? It doesn’t sound or feel nice Talking about it is the safest outlet for our frustration and pain Unless you can handle our tantrums and violence... Yes I thought as much, so listen This knot on my shoulder won't heal even after years of different therapies

Omg check my notes I go through the same. So annoying
there’s this girl that i work with who constantly, and i mean almost daily, tries to give me advice on how i could “cure” myself if i were to start going to a holistic doctor, forgetting the fact that these diseases are chronic and incurable lol. it’s more annoying than frustrating because she only ever sees this “natural” doctor and is constantly talking about how terrible modern medicine is and how i’m essentially “filling my body with toxins” and how i should really just try seeing her doctor, even if it’s only once. i mean, you’d think that it would be really offensive to tell someone-who has very obviously undergone several surgeries and treatments and medications for two very serious illnesses-that you know more about what they should be doing than actually, i don’t know, letting that person listen to their fucking doctors. like the time that she told me that her holistic doctor cured her mother of lupus, lyme disease and fibromyalgia just by putting her on an all organic diet.Â

Omg check my notes out. We have the same thoughts
Guys!
We do not need spoonie police hovering around, analyzing our every move looking for fakers! Seriously, the fear of being accused of faking it by healthy people don’t understand our illness is one of the worst things about being sick. The last thing we need is the same thing in our own community. So please, please don’t go around accusing other spoonies except in extraordinary situations where you have absolutely air tight proof —  like you’ve actually talked to someone in their life and gotten outside confirmation AND you have multiple pieces indisputable proof else where. And please, don’t reblog posts accusing someone of faking either!
If there is even a shred of doubt, assume there is some explanation, and move on! Seriously! It is way better to be accidentally kind to someone who is faking than accidentally cruel to someone who is not.Â

Healthy losers
Everytime I say I'm bipolar Or that I suffer from fibromyalgia syndrome Or that I have scoliosis and facial deformation A healthy person tells me I've succumbed And that acknowledging my diagnoses As well as constantly thinking of them is making me more sick Uhm firstly that's stupid! Secondly! Accepting your illness is crucial in self-love and shows good self-esteem Consciousness of things happening within and around you makes you devise ways to survive and thrive Facing and admitting our vulnerabilities and weaknesses is actually bravery derived from our strength Being ill means we are left behind and sink deep into darkness It is infested with failure and leaves us lonely No one would choose that If they do, they are another kind of sick So no healthy loser people, we aren't sick because we planted the idea in our heads
