This time, Arch-Kavalos Zandtos - one of the leaders of my army 😁 very happy with this general and his bone and ghost crafted steed 😊 really been on quite the painting drive so far this year working on my armies until commissions pick up again 😅🤣

After a break, a Night Lord focussed Heresy era book has drawn me back in 🤣 this time, the Heavy Gunner 😁

Very happy with the eyes in particular on this one 😊 he now stands alongside his equally gnarly brothers 😁

So, after playing it at my local store, I picked up the Embergard box and immediately got to work painting The Emberwatch; the Stormcast warband in the set 😁

Made up of Ardorn Flamerunner, Farasa Twice-risen and Yurik Velzaine, these are a sturdy band of bastards with some neon lightning added in (because it's my current obsession 🤣)

Loads of fun painting these and I can't wait to play more games 😁

This month, the Warhammer free mini was two little clanrats 😁

Wonderfully expressive 'orrible little shits 🤣 much like the Skaven, I also spend my time avoiding the sun and muttering nonsense to myself 🤣

Finished painting the tank of my AoS army; The Gothizzar Harvester 😁

Beautifully nightmarish bone monster with sickle blades, a giant terrapin like head and a pit of bodies on the back 😬🤣

I also added the poor dead Stormcast in a snow bank to his base; he probably deserved it 🤣

Very happy with this overall - I tend to shy away from bigger units as they take SO MUCH longer but my persistence has paid off 😁

Thanks to the January free mini, I finally have an elf on my shelf with this Aeldari Striking Scorpion; a member of the Blades of Khaine kill team 😁 interesting to paint but really not my vibe - definitely glad it was a one off tbh.

Decided to go close to the suggested paint scheme just because I'm unlikely to paint one again but, if I did, I'd probably go for something a little more multicoloured 🤣

Completed the Captain from the Kill Team box in standard Carcharodon colours 😁 used the neon paint on the plasma pistol over white and blue - it's come out a treat 😊

While Necrons are still more my vibe, I like that I'm building up a bit of a second army full of drowned looking shark themed bastards 🤣

Went in a VERY different direction for the other free Stormcast Liberator I had; this one channeling my inner goth 🤣

While I like both colour schemes I tried, I definitely think the blue has more legs. Although I do enjoy this "dark liberator" vibe. Maybe a custom job with some vampire heads or something could be in the cards? 🤔

Tiny retro skeleton blokes in a big silly chariot 😁 had a lot of fun painting this (including the green stuff kick up from the wheels). Very happy with how it turned out and honestly think it's such a phenomenal design; very Harryhausen meets Ben-Hur 🤣

Treated myself to a Crisis Protocol two pack; Blade & Moon Knight 😁 both fun to paint and some excellent sculpting - plus, the shading on Moon Knight's cape came out a treat 😊

Very happy with these - might treat myself to other characters in future 😁

So, I promised myself that 2025 would be the year I actually learned to play the various Warhammer games (rather than just painting cool minis) and, as a new version of Underworlds is out, I decided to start there.

Introducing The Jaws of Itzl 🥳 Kro-Jax the Aegis (in blue), So-Kar (in red), Ro-Tak the Guardian (in green) and Sotek's Venomites. Very fun to paint 😁 tried to make the scales completely distinct while still making them look broadly uniform. No idea how successful I was but I like them anyway 🤣

Roll on Thursday! Time to learn how to play! 🥳

I don't play the LotR tabletop game but I had to pick up this little beauty when I found it in the wild - I took the time to layer different greys into the fabric and different silvers into the metal and most of it isn't even slightly visible 😅 ah well; I tried 🤣

Completed the Noise Marine mini that I picked up before Christmas using neon paints that glow in the dark (covering maybe 80% of the mini) which leads to this beautiful, aggressively colourful bastard 😁

Very happy with this 😊 got an awesome looking video as well but I might have to post that separately with a strobe warning 🤣 hoping to see an entire band released in the Emperor's Children set coming out later this year 😁

First project of the year complete! My Hernkyn Yaegir Kill Team for my Leagues of Votann army.

For the leader I swapped out his knife with a Power Fist cause it looks cool! I forgot to put a blade handle back in the sword sheath however!

Really happy with how the base came out on this guy!

More specialists. I didn't build all of the weapon variants since I don't play Kill Team. Pretty sure the sapper and dual pistols are not an option in regular 40k.

And here's the rest of the team with Bolt Shotguns. Overall very happy with how this project came out!
