i have made like 57 reddit throwaway accounts in my life because my only use for reddit is to login once a year to pose niche questions to a sub i assume is compromised of mostly autistic dads desperate to impart their knowledge upon anyone who will listen. when i got my first fisheries job the equipment list my boss sent me just said “knife.” i emailed back asking what kind of knife and he replied “any knife.” i got on reddit and went to some sub about fish and i said “i got a hatchery job in alaska. what knife do i need for multipurpose use. a knife that does it all.” one guy responded in ten minutes breaking down everything about knives & salmon work. gave me a better idea of my job than the interview did. then he recommended a single knife and like twenty other people replied after him “this is the correct knife. no notes.”

the tiniest mushroom biome

this is probably the tiniest mushroom biome I have found so far.

it's not actually that small but it has been covered by a ruined portal almost all of the way

Stronghold

So this is in the survival world that I play a bunch in and I was looking for a stronghold, as you do esp. if you are geared out and ready to beat the dragon and look for an elytra. when I finally reach the area of the stronghold I dig down. since this is a survival world and I have cheats on I do not care too much for safety so I just dig straight down. and suddenly I fall into an ancient city. and die.

so I tp myself back to where I died, pick up my stuff and then have a bit of a look around. and shortly after get the eye spy achievement and just see this

I look around a bit and soon set off a shrieker like 2 times. since I don't want to deal with wardens I switch into spectator mode and have a look around. for one to look at the generation some more and to see if there is a portal room in the stronghold (since there was a slight chance in earlier versions that the portal room generation is overwritten by other generation) and to see what it looks like and how big the city is.

then I see the portal of the anicent city which looks like this

so of course I see if that room is the stronghold portal room (spoiler it is!) and see this:

I don't know if I like this or hate this generation but it for sure is the most cursed I've seen so far. but there are some other cursed geneartions in this world (which I might post some other time)
