Use Bevel Join and Offset Paths to create pointed strokes. Trim the individual strokes down to 1% to create square dots. Track Matte can be used to cut out other strokes to make arrow pointers.

Kris: Is there a way to use the 'Fill' option for the shape in Ouroboros?

Sander: Turn on the fill of the original shape layer that Ouroboros is parented to.
