Miraculous Theory Time!

After Volpina there is one thing I’m absolutely certain of. Lila doesn’t have the miraculous since it’s in Master Fu’s box but she does know about them (how else could she have an exact replica?).

And now we know for sure where the peacock miraculous is.  In Gabriel’s safe.

Now, because of everything he has in his vault, this is how he knows about miraculous and knows what they look like asking Adrien about his ring in Jackady (Simon Says).  

Based on the picture of her on that shelf and how Gabriel feels about his wife, he’s either holding them for her (they’re precious to her) or he knows it has something to do with her disappearance and he’s using them to try and find her (something tells me Tibet has to do with it).

But I’m still not 100% convinced that Gabriel is Hawkmoth. 1st reason is because Thomas Astruc is the creator/writer (read his twitter posts, he likes to mess with fans). I don’t think he would make it that simple.

2nd is that he runs a huge company.  People would notice if he was gone/unavailable for hours at a time. It’s noticed when Marionette and Adrien are late/skip school and they have, what I can assume to be, a looser schedule then Gabriel. We just need a someone to get akumatized during fashion week since there is no way Gabriel won’t be at fashion week the entire time.

The 3rd being that HE HAS POSSESSION OF THE PEACOCK MIRACULOUS! He knows what it is since he has the book and has basic knowledge of miraculous.  Why then would he need the butterfly miraculous?

I think the peacock belonged to either Mrs. Agreste or Gabriel and it has something to do with her disappearance.  Whether Gabriel knew about the peacock miraculous before or after her disappearance is up in the air.  If he was the holder of the miraculous and not Mrs. Agreste, something happened while using it (or not using it) and he’s not using it again because of memories (he probably wouldn’t want to use other miraculous either).

I think the only thing Gabriel is guilty of is loving his wife too much and using his vast wealth and connections to find her.
