In Macross Pluss and Cowboy Bebop, he used Yoko Kanno’s unique music to good effect. Watanabe himself selected all the artists for Samurai Champloo. The piture at left shows him earnestly reading a reference for the show (not true). The whole wall behind him is fill with CDs (true)!
