so, i suppose i’m doing a follow forever post now. i was hesitant to do one of these for multiple reasons. i was worried about leaving people out and then feeling bad later for forgetting about them. i was also worried about not being able to write something meaningful to my the people who i do end up tagging. after pondering about it for a while, and sleeping on it, i think i will do one. i know most of you guys are really tired of seeing this on your dash so feel free and just scroll, and if you do just know i love you and i’m extremely grateful for you.

idk if this has been said before, but i rlly feel like the ‘like to reblog’ ratio on this site has definitely been skewed by instagram….i mean, tumblr def didn’t used to be like this & ever since instagram became one of the main social media sites, i feel like ppl somehow internally fused one with the other & there’s a misconception that liking a post on here is a great way to show support for it but that’s actually not entirely true :/ it’s a nice gesture but the algorithm on insta & tumblr are so vastly different, in reality liking a post on instagram is a great way to support it & to help said post maybe wind up on the explore page, but liking a post on tumblr doesn’t really do anything if we’re being honest…the only way to rlly support a post & it’s creator on here is to reblog it, bc only then will it actually have the opportunity to be seen by others!! & no it’s not about ���being obsessed with notes”, it’s about acknowledging & appreciating the fact that ppl take time out of their day to make things for the simple enjoyment of sharing it with others on here! as overly repeated as this is, tumblr rlly wouldn’t be anything without it’s content creators, & it’s totally normal to grow frustrated when you feel like you’re basically sending your posts into a blue void to pretty much die a slow inconspicuous death lmao so in conclusion, support content creators!! use that reblog button! it’s the least we can all do :) ♡

an open letter for fanfic readers:

if you follow me, you have probably seen posts i’ve made or reblogged about this topic before. but, talking with a few writer friends, i’ve realized that this is something that is still bothering writers, and even making people feel like giving up on sharing their work. yes, i am once again talking about leaving feedback, comments and reblogging fics.

and yes, it’s ok if you’re tired of me talking about this, i’m tired of doing it too. but imagine this: you have a talent, or maybe you just like doing something a lot, and you decide to share that with people so you do just that. it goes well, people leave likes on your work and you know they must enjoy it, but at the same time no one says anything. they don’t share what they thought, how they felt reading it, the bits they enjoyed and you end up thinking ‘damn, do they actually like what i’m putting out? was it good? where can i improve? what did i get right?’ it’s a weird feeling, because the thing is human beings are highly influenced by their ego and when you’re a creator, feeling like people are not really enjoying or not even knowing how they feel about your work, you can lose your motivation. because why would i put work out if people are not connecting with it?

and i get it, sometimes you don’t know what to say, can’t find the right words to express how you felt reading something. or maybe you’re shy to reblog and leave a comment on the tags. i really get it, that’s why i’m making this post and bellow you’ll find some tips on how to leave comments on fics to help you out on supporting your favorite authors!

and to my writers friends feel free to add anything you’d like to this post!

i kinda hope NCT Dream members would have graduated like Mark did and new members would have taken their places. idk but i always understood that NCT Dream was for the younger members and once they "aged" they would leave the group and a new generation of dreamies would emerge. i feel like making it a fixed sub-unit ruined the concept, but im glad for them!😊
