♠ ̖́- — These last few weeks have been nothing short of a complete and utter mess. The days they spent trapped in almost complete darkness mingled together. It was hard to try and figure out the days they missed, the time that was spent down there. And honestly, Frank just wanted to get right back into things. He needed to dive into his work, to forget what occurred. But despite his request, he still hasn’t gotten a single paperwork thrown in his direction, and he is certain that it has been piling up since he’s been unavailable. Something about ‘ taking it easy ’ and ‘ not to worry about it ’ and yet, here is Frank. Not taking anything easy and certainly worrying. Okay, his worrying is directed more towards the other hostages and how they were doing... and of Meadowes. Either way, he needed to get something done before he started losing his mind in here. Frank didn’t look up at his visitor as he spoke, “ Please tell me you brought me some work. ”

"They’re coming.”

Hogwarts wasn’t meant to tear them apart. They were suppose to grow closer. Frank has always thought so highly of Rodolphus, after all they were once close. But it seems that they decided to leave Frank behind. They found new friends and so did Frank. However, the company that Rodolphus chose to be around where people he found to be a bad influence. If only Rodolphus would just listen to him, just seeing things from his point of view. But they were just as stubborn as he was. “ Fine. Whatever. I’ll leave. Have fun terrorizing people in the halls. ”

"This seems familiar."

Frank looked up from his desk at the Ministry. It wasn’t every day that an old friend came to see him. Well, they weren’t exactly friends anymore. Hell, they haven’t been friends for a very long time. And yet, Rodolphus was standing there and Frank had to keep a friendly appearance. The choices they have made were met with his disagreements. They should have known their friendship would fall. “ Rodolphus. How can I help you? ” He didn’t comment on their remark. After all, there was no point in bringing up the past, especially when nothing would change.

"This stays between us."

Merlin. This has gotten too complicated too fast. He should have done more to stay away from his trainee, his responsibility. Frank is certain that there was a rule somewhere that says mentors shouldn’t be developing these damn feelings over their trainees, much less act upon them. He wasn’t certain, but Frank truly believes he could lose his job. Or worse, Alice could be forced out of the program. He should just put an end to this all before it continues. But he didn’t want to, that was the problem. “ I know, Alice. I know. No one has to know about any of this. ”

"I can’t believe you missed that."

" I wouldn’t have missed it if you gave me a warning before throwing it right at my head, Alice! This is not my fault one bit. Next time yell at me before you throw the damn boulder, not after. I’m going to have a bruise on the side of my head now. ”

"Don’t you dare."

“ Don’t I dare what? Breathe? Sit down? Give you the paperwork that needs to get done? You have going to have to be far more specific than that, Ms. Fortescue. And while you are trying to say what I should not dare to do, get the work done. ” He lazily tossed the workload over towards Alice. without looking at her, as he took his seat. “ Get it done, Fortescue. We don’t have all day. ” It hardly matters how long it takes Alice to do, he’ll find her something more. Anything that keeps her away from the field.

"I need a hug."

Without a single word, Frank pulled Molly close. He couldn’t even begin to imagine what his friend was going through but he was there — now. “ It’s okay, Molls. It’s okay. ” Words were meaningless right now. They won’t do Molly any good but the least he could do is be by her side.

"What are you afraid of?"

“ Aw come on. Don’t make me say this in front of the kid. He respects me you know! Come on Bill, let’s get away from the mean riding hood. ”
