about 7 years ago, i started writing and posting my poems on tumblr, on this account where i wrote a poem a day for a year.

and after that year, some readers encouraged me to self-published a book, so i did. and i'm so grateful i did, because then i published another book in 2019.

and that book became an amazon bestseller, and is now being republished by one of the largest publishers in the world in just 4 days.

i owe those readers from 6+ years ago so much for encouraging me to go for my dream and self-publish a poetry book, and tumblr for starting my love for poetry!

i’m learning to be okay with slow growth—with gentle steps instead of giant leaps. i see others ahead of me and behind me, but i know i am where i need to be.

it's already snowing outside / I thought summer just ended / I turned on the AC yesterday / today I turned on the heat / plastic wrapping on my frozen lasagna / it’s in the recycling bin but I still feel guilty / I thought it was fall / I fell to my knees when I saw the snow / intricate flakes on my arms that I can't shake off / they’re too pretty to ruin / now they’re melted and ruined / I can't shake the feeling that the world is ending / tell me / when the world ends will I still feel guilty?
