Vanitas No Carte vol.03 cover!!
There’s obviously a third (purple) mark of possession on Vanitas’ neck and the color gives reason to surmise, it’s Noé’s doing… The chain which binds Noé to Vanitas also is purple. Coincidence? I don’t think so.

Small theory
I don’t really have chapter 5 with me at the moment, but this chapter (15.5) gave me the impression that somehow, past events were rewritten. In chapter 5, Noé doesn’t fall from bed--Vanitas just tells him to go and have breakfast with him. And in chapter 15.5, Noé notices there’s something off. Could vampires also rewrite the time formula? We know that Noé’s teacher is able to interfere with gravity, so, is there a chance vampires can alter all physics concepts?
I’ve also noticed that there seem to be some inconsistencies in Noé’s memory (I’ll probably go in depth later), which could be attributed to someone tampering with time. What do you think?
Edit: chapter 5.

VnC: Flowers/Vanitas’s Role
@literafetti‘s post about the cover of Vanitas no Carte/The Case Study of Vanitas got me thinking a little about some things I’ve learned and that reminded me of VnC recently. I’m linking the post this is derived from since it’s long, but I highly recommend that you read their post first to get an idea where I’m coming from.
Onto my analysis: A little concerning the flowers that @literafetti was pointing out, and a little more regarding their point about the skull and crown on top.
