Beautiful and painfully relatable

I laid in bed, the darkness of the room wrapping around me like a heavy blanket, the cool air entering through a cracked window. My long hair spilled over the pillow, but my mind was miles away.

I closed my eyes, sinking into the soft mattress, but it wasn’t comfort I craved — it was something else entirely.

The feeling gnawed at me. The deep, unshakable longing to be something else than human. To leave this skin, this body behind, and shift into something else.

I imagined the transformation: my limbs stretching, my senses heightening. I could feel my hands tingle, as if claws were starting to form.

The yearning was always the same. My body would ache for it, my mind would drift to it, yet I couldn’t ever reach it.

I closed my eyes tighter and took a deep breath. I could feel my heart pounding as I focused on the sensation of my body. I could almost taste the forest air on my tongue and feel the ground beneath my paws.

And yet, it didn’t come. I could feel the pull, the hunger, yet my body stayed human.

All I could feel was the weight of my own skin.

Spend the whole day inside writing and watching Interview With The Vampire. Couldn't feel better tbh. I don't understand extrovert neurotypicals this is the shit.

Was rewatching IWTV and I think it's interesting how Armand and Louis' nicknames for eachother are Maitre and Arun. Armand's entire life revolves around power and who has it. His early years had to do with others having power over him, so that is his point of comfort. He gained the role of Maitre but said multiple times how he doesn't want it. When he gives that power over to Louis, he is feeding that part of him that says his true self is when he is not in control.

"Who am I, Louis?" He wants Louis to take that control and tell him who he is, "Am i my history i have endured? Am I the job I do not want?"

It represents how Louis is the one with power in the relationship, stringing him along knowing he still loves Lestat, and how Armand is feeding into his worries about who he is. Reliving his painful past instead of moving forward. It reflects how bad they are for eachother.

Anyway, I thought that was interesting.
