When BOLDCHOICE told me this show was happening I didn't fully believe him. But it did happen, best show of my life.

The other night a good friend and I were being adults and somehow our conversation got steered towards Internal Affairs. We discussed how we think kids will remember them in a few years, we both really dug that band but fear that their music wont age well. That band was all the rage for a a little while with the ex Carry On hype they had. I think this skateboard was sold on tour in summer '05 but I can't be sure since this was given to me by a friend, Those must have been a nightmare to carry in a cramped van.

An alternative lifestyle is looked at and we see poeple who, rather than enter in the "mainstream" have created their own subculture. The video focuses upon the inner evolution and self-analysis of the band and the people involved in the "scene". Set against the backdrop of the East Coast, Curse of Instinct: 108's Final Tour does not try to answer all of the questions it may pose. Rather it magnifies a specific element of a community that has carved out its own path. Although no longer a band, 108 and people involved will continues to move forward, if for no other reason that to learn more about themselves, and try to understand seemingly innate rejection to the word around them
The 108 final tour documentary. Pre reunion of course.

Support Hardcore on a local level, or stay irrelevant and drop out in a few years and end up somewhere where all the civilians you're hanging out with won't care what fests you went to "back in the day"*
Hardcore lives whether you show up or not, so it's up to you to decide if it's important to you.
*A surprisingly recent time

The Against The Wall ep is a shockingly under rated record. I really don't know what to say about this record other than it rages, an outstanding record through and through. This is one of the many great things Nemesis Records put out though their track record isnt perfect that label doesn't get enough credit for some of the great releases they did from the late 80's to mid 90's. Members of Against The Wall also went on to be in Strife, Outspoken, The Suppression Swing, Mean Season, A18, and Ignite among others.

The Head On 7" was lifeline records number one which is what originally made me buy it. Upon receiving the record I discovered I found out that this band was pre The Disaster, How We Are, Not Sorry and who knows how many other noteworthy bands. John from Not Sorry even did the lay out which has a cool folding tab on the front which was a very nice touch to a mostly forgotten record/band.

Billingsgate are one of the many mostly forgotten youth crew bands that formed after the genre peaked in the late 80's but before the 90's revival. Both this and the lp have become bargain bin classics despite the fact that members went on to be in Bloodline and Dillinger Four.

Although this isn't an amazing record I like it for a few reasons. First off, it was the first Cro-Mags record I ever got. I lucked out one day at a local record store when they found a few copies in a box that was ancient. mid set on this record they play a dub interlude and they threaten the sound guy, also aside from at the store I bought this at I have never seen another one. I saw a similar looking live Black Flag bootleg from the same era and region possibly pressed by the same people but that's about it. I also need to point out how hideous Harley Flannigan looks on the cover of this record.

It's a real shame that Gone But Not Forgotten fizzled out. that demo was super good and they had ex members of Get The Most, Sinking Ships, The Answer, Ordeal and a ton of other bands. They actually played their first show in Vancouver with Vacant State and Keep it Clear(I think) in a tiny little room which was absolute madness.

I dont like the s/t quite as much as dying for it but the layout for this record pretty well makes up for it. Panic were and still are one of my favourite bands that bridge 9 put out. My copy is a bit dented and had a weird face drawn on the dust sleeve, wild times!

In the past few Years I have bought a lot of stuff from Aram from Betrayed and one time he was kind enough to throw this in with a Betrayed record. Pretty cool.

This World Rejected was most of Zero Tolerance after a member went to jail. I was given the record on the promise that I listened to it as soon as I got home and it ruled! That cover looks like this record is going to take you in that weird post youth crew rock direction that so many bands took but I can assure you that this dollar bin gem is a ripper.

Note
what color is the chorus wax?
It is the black/white cow swirl. This is what New Age says about it:
First Pressing
Quantity Pressed: 255Solid Black white swirlFun Fact: This is also "back on top of white" since the process takes 2 piece of each color placed on top of each other by hand to get this effect.

Ten Yard Fight, more importantly this record is the album that turned me onto youth crew. This band is responsible for me seeking out other bands playing this style of hardcore and eventually leading to me becoming a total dork for this stuff. Looking back I realize how ugly this records cover is.

I once posted a video from the Chorus of Disapproval reunion and a guy I knew told me he had a XCHORUSX hat in the 90's wish he didn't throw that out!
