I should add that I made this post after seeing a post that claims Millie is "Black coded", and then I look in the comment section and see their comment claiming that Millie's only black coded because she has a black voice actor. Like, just because a POC person voices a character that hasn't been confirmed to be POC yet, doesn't mean said character is automatically a POC. If said character is a POC though, that would be different.

An issue I have with some critiques of HH/HB is when a person says that one of the characters is race/sexuality coded, and therefore, the shows are racist or _phobic. Unless a character is confirmed to be a certain race or sexuality (For example; Alastor being creole and Moxxie being bisexual), I don't think we should use that as a critique on the show, especially since there are more problematic things to criticize. Like Alastor's voodoo motive, for example. I am not saying you can't headcanon the characters to have a race (Again, for example, Blitzo being a latina), but like I previously stated, I don't think it's a valid critique if a character isn't confirmed to have a race. If you don't agree with me, then whatever. But please know these are just my views, and I am not trying to sound racist or _phobic or anything like that.
