Hey, also, all the anarchist shit aside, tomorrow I want you to make something.

I forced myself to draw something after the 2016 election. I forced myself to draw something when my mother died in 2018. I forced myself to draw something when my spouse was hospitalized for multiple organ failure in 2021.

When you are miserable, make something. Add a row to your project, bake a box cake, draw on a sheet of lined paper, write a poem on a napkin, fold an origami shirt out of a dollar bill, make your favorite recipe for dinner, but make something with your hands, something that you can hold and look at engage your senses in.

It won't fix the world, but it will change the world. You will have made something that didn't exist before. You will have impacted your reality, even in a very small way. And it is going to be something you made *after.* Something bad happened, something shook you, and you made something after, in spite of it.

Fics For Gaza

Hello everyone! I'm super excited to announce that I've signed up to be a creator in the @ficsforgaza project! For those of you unfamiliar with the blog, ficsforgaza is a project that allows money to be raised for the people in need in Gaza, and for YOU to get fanfiction you want to read! There are two ways you can go about helping to raise money for a good cause, either by Sponsoring A WIP or Requesting A Fic

How It Works - Sponsoring A WIP Edition:

For every $1 donated to a vetted fundraiser on @ficsforgaza's page with proof DMed to me of your donation, along with which WIP you'd like to sponsor, I will add 200 words onto a WIP of your choosing! This means that $1 = 200 words, $2 = 400 words, $5 = 1,000 words, etc. I will keep an updated tally on how many words into a chapter of any given WIP are owed, and how many I have fulfilled due to this fundraiser!

If you donate $30 to a vetted fundraiser at once and DM me proof of donation, I will write an entire chapter of a WIP of your choosing, regardless of how long that chapter is (ie: you donate $30 and the chapter ends up being longer than 6,000 words and you get all those bonus words for free because you sponsored a whole chapter at once)

CURRENT WIPs

Bungo Stray Dogs:

Good Tonight (Currently 1 Chapter at 12,989 Words Long)

Yokohama has been plagued with the fearful fivesome as long as they can remember. Citizens cower in fear wherever they go, and where one is spotted, the other four are never far behind. An unstoppable team able to commit whatever crime they put their minds to, Chuuya, Akutagawa, Gin, Kouyou and Higuchi are known far and wide, simply as - The Bad Guys. However, when the new Governor Dazai comes into power, aided by his trusty assistant Atsushi, boldy declaring that he'll be the one to put a stop to these so called "bad guys", it drives the gang into an impossible job, one that winds them up in a situation where The Bad Guys are forced to go good. Will the five of them really be able to change their ways in time for the annual fundraiser for the Special Division for Unusual Powers? Or will their failed heist be their last? Aka, the gayest Port Mafia members in an AU that roughly follows the plot of the animated film The Bad Guys, based off the Australian children's book series by the same name. (Rated Teen and Up for language only)

Currently not started, but will pick up where the fic Partners In Crime (5/5 Chapters posted at 30,593 Words Long) left off, who's description is as follows:

Four years ago, Soukoku was let loose on the city. Two years ago, they disappeared, never to be seen again. Today, Atsushi is a starving penniless orphan, who knows nothing of the mysterious Double Black, but is grateful for the meal offered to him by the man he was trying to rob on the riverbank. After offering Atsushi a place to stay, he grows curious as to how exactly these two strange bickering men that call themselves partners ended up living such an odd lifestyle in the city of Yokohama, and thus their tale begins to unfold. Or, four years ago, Chuuya caught Dazai strapping bombs to his car and proposed they flee the Port Mafia together instead of letting Dazai run off on his own and the ensuing tale of events that lead to Atsushi meeting Dazai on that fateful day. *** Dazai took his hand, but used it to pull Chuuya close to his chest instead of accepting the gesture for its intended purpose. "Partners on the run together? How romantic." Chuuya stomped on his foot. And while they knew things would be different for them from here on out, there was no doubt that Double Black had a truly unbreakable bond.

Scum Villain's Self Saving System:

Fortune (Currently 1 Chapter at 5,164 Words Long)

Shen Yuan is sick and tired of his life as a fortune teller. In fact, he'd really rather be anything else, except destiny has told him that he is destined to spend the next 63 years in this hole in the wall, telling people futures they don't actually want to see, until one day he'll up and die. No matter how much he hopes he'll be able to do literally anything else with his life, he knows, more than anyone else that he cannot change his fate. Everyone thinks knowing the future is so great until they have to experience it for themselves. However, everything changes the day one Luo Binghe shows up outside his door, begging Shen Yuan to tell him if there's love for him in his future. Much to his chagrin, the remainder of Binghe's life seems to be fairly short and misfortunate. But then why does Binghe keep showing up at his doorstep? Wasn't he supposed to have died by now? Or, a look at what happens when you risk defying fate for the promising allure of the unknown.

When Luigi shows up at his favorite karaoke bar for a much needed night off in his drag getup, the absolute last thing he expects is to see the recently escaped Bowser of all people. Torn between self preservation and finding out whatever Bowser has plotted next, Luigi has no idea just how much trouble he'll find himself in as he journeys through self discovery and his own self worth as someone who is more than just Mario's brother. Aka the crack idea my friends presented to me in the middle of the night on a Discord call and I fucking ran with it and now the rest of you get to deal with the results.

Okay guys long rambling post for anyone that follows me on here just to give you all a bit of an update if you've been waiting for me to post something

I have been,,, criminally busy lately, I finished my first year of college, except unless I wanted to be in two places at once or take an extra semester to be able to declare my degree, I was forced to take a third, condensed semester of online classes that started a week after I moved from college back home

This means that I have not had a solid break from school since like January, which is insane and I have not had the time I thought I would have to write fanfiction as much as I would like to

Additionally! I have the really cool opportunity to write a musical that's going to be performed at some point in November or December of this year! A musical that is not currently written (and that I am procrastinating writing right this very second in favor of making this tumblr post hahaha,,, sorry about that to the people that know me irl and follow me on here)

In addition to all of that, I'm currently broke (not in a concerning way, just in a college student way) and while I would like to be able to help the people in Gaza right now, I am not in a place financially to be able to do so, however, I CAN spare the brainpower to write fanfiction, so I have signed up for several Gotcha4Gaza events in order to help raise money for the people of Gaza, which is why I've taken a break from most of the fanfiction I would normally be posting to do requests, because every request I fill, about $12USD gets donated to the people of Gaza

With that being said, once I have the brainpower to make a post, I plan on joining the @/ficsforgaza movement to allow you guys to make requests to me directly AND also sponsor my WIPs, meaning that if there's something you guys have been anxiously awaiting an update for, you'll be able to donate money to Gaza AND get me to write either an additional 200 words onto the WIP OR get me to write/post an entire new chapter onto a pre-existing WIP, that way I can still focus on using fanfiction for good and you guys get the long awaited fics that made you subscribe to me or follow me here

That's not to say that I'm only going to come back to my WIPs if you guys donate money, I will still be working on them when I have the time to, however, all current WIPs are taking a backburner until September, when I am no longer responsible for writing a musical and will have much more free time!

All five of those bullet points will be posted throughout July and August, and in September I will be posting Living On, updates to Fortune, and much much more, but that's my current update for now

Additionally, if there is anyone out there that's a Miraculous Ladybug fan, and has heard of/would like to organize a Miraculous Ladybug Gotcha4Gaza event, and is looking for creators/someone to help organize an event, please let me know as I would be 1000% down to help with either of those, I just don't have the brainpower to do something like that myself
