⊱ "Do you know why this destruction, these riots, chaos, oppression, and this widespread injustice are escalating everywhere? The primary, and I would say the sole reason, is our detachment from the Quran, our negligence towards Allah's Book. And do you know why I say this? Because had we truly been reading the Quran with our hearts and, most importantly, continually reflected upon it, we would have realized that Allah has not recounted the disobedience of previous nations and the resulting wrath and punishment in His sacred Book without purpose. These accounts are narrated for us to take heed and avoid repeating those mistakes, so that we do not stray from the path. Consider those nations that regarded themselves as great and mighty, who, instead of expressing gratitude for Allah’s blessings worshipped the material world and denied the life to come, who allowed wealth to occupy their hearts instead of the remembrance of Allah — look at their fate?

The truth is often bitter, but undeniable, and the truth is that we ourselves are the real culprits behind our difficulties, sufferings, and troubles. Our heedlessness, envy, and jealousy towards one another have numbed our consciences to such an extent that the Ummah, which our Prophet described as one body—where if one part is injured, the pain is felt by the whole—now remains silent while innocent children of this very Ummah are being brutally slaughtered."

- Knowledge—pursue it relentlessly. It doesn’t matter whether you were born into Islam or not; knowledge is the strength that empowers you to confront every challenge. Do you know what our fundamental problem is? we often rely solely on the limited teachings handed down to us by our elders, thinking it is sufficient, without ever making an effort, striving, or having the courage to deeply understand our faith. We hardly ever open the Quran with the intention of truly discovering what Allah has conveyed within it, why it is described as light, a guidance for humankind, healing and mercy for the believers.

We excel at acquiring knowledge about songs, movies, and social media; spending our time on these things with great zeal. We are experts at endless scrolling, but when it comes to seeking knowledge, we say, “Oh, I don’t have time.” Honestly, if you channel that same time and enthusiasm into the right pursuits, you could achieve so much more in life. Step out of the world of scrolling. Rise and, for once, make the effort to read the Quran, with the intention and prayer: "O my Lord, You are the All-Knowing; open the doors of knowledge for me, make the path of truth wide and clear for me. Let this sacred book You revealed become a source of guidance and enlightenment for me. Make it my companion, my guide on this journey. Let it be a strong proof and testimony for me, leading me with clarity and conviction. And then, witness how Allah creates paths for you from places you could never have imagined.

▪︎ It's a bitter reality but a reality nonetheless; Islam came to build bridges, not to erect walls. It was meant to be a means of unity, not to bring each other down. Keep in mind that, "your stature isn't elevated by pushing down your own brother."

Let me clarify one thing : wearing a hijab or a niqab does not make you weak or oppressed rather, it makes you resolute and uncompromising. When you step outside wearing it, do not view it merely as a piece of cloth; instead, regard it as a crown that your Creator has adorned you with. It is not just a garment but a symbol of your beauty. It distinguishes you from the crowd, making you not just one among many, but unique and most beautiful. What you see as just a piece of cloth is actually like a pearl carefully preserved in its shell, elevating you. Why do you compare yourself to others or see yourself as inferior? Often, in our attempts to please others, we forget our Creator. Let one thing be engraved in your heart and mind, "We are accountable not to people, but to Allah."

What exactly prevents us from following our faith? Why do our steps falter when we try to walk the path of truth? Why does standing up for justice scare us? Why do we perceive being a Muslim as being backward? Why, after all? Do you know why? Because we prioritize others' opinions over our own. In simple terms, we worry about "what will people think?" How will people view me if I wear a hijab? What will people say if I grow a beard? What will people think if I refuse to attend parties? It’s always about people, people, and people.This has led our society to adopt the mentality that those who adhere to religion are the ones who have forsaken the world, who have no dreams, and who hold outdated beliefs. Consequently, the majority eventually excludes religion from their lives. Do you consider your faith so fragile that anyone's thought can lead you astray from your true purpose? Do you ever realize that our steps cannot be firm until we internalize and embrace the mindset that there is nothing stronger than the path we follow, and there never can be. Islam does not separate you from the world; rather, it teaches you how to live within it.

....not just on the walls, but inside the depths of the hearts.

Regarding the Quran, Allah SWT proclaimed that if it were to be revealed upon a mountain, it would crumble under the weight of its words. Yet today, we have confined its magnificent and powerful verses to mere decorations on our walls. Have you ever deeply pondered the meanings of those words that you have simply placed on your walls? Have you ever questioned yourself about how many times a day you clean the dust off of it? Do you know that Allah revealed it to cleanse the dust that settles on our hearts, such as jealousy, envy, and pride? The Quran is intended for profound contemplation. It is a means to lead a meaningful life. Your foremost goal and effort should be to internalize the words of those verses whose calligraphy you have only affixed to your walls or adorned your homes with. Use them to beautify not just your walls, but your hearts and character as well.
