This will be a photo blog, and it will be random. As random as my mood. I will post photos out of impulse—the same way I shoot. So welcome. And enjoy. I hope. :-)

I don’t know what it is about flowers, but Hipstamatic just flatters them.

I wanted to shoot something creepy. Instead, I got Facebook's default profile pic on the TV screen. Have the best of the holidays! 🎄 Lens: John S Film: W40

Screened
View from some 20+ floors up, which, to me, is a marvel. I spend most days underground.

A slight shift
Had coffee with a friend I haven't seen in a year. She's in the category I'd rather not mention.

Look back
My side mirror on a rainy night.
There's a blog project that's held my mind for a while, one which will entail revisiting the archives. If I get past the cringing, I will tag it "look-back".

Bangketa
It occurred to me on the commute to work today that I like Hipstamatic because it's how I picture memories--in discolored filters.

Skewed
Since I got Hipstamatic, I've tended toward randomness and imperfection in my compositions. My old, DSLR-lugging self would have wanted to shoot these skewed glasses as precisely as possible: properly-aligned, right at the center of the frame, without the distracting background. But there is something compelling about these instantaneous moments, about shooting exactly what the eyes see, about following impulses. About unthinking.
I've been playing with this app for two weeks now. I wonder how long the entertainment will last.
