The grim reaper is always nearby but always out of sight. Can you feel it?

This was a comic done for a Halloween monster zine, where everyone was given a random Halloween monster prompt and told to make a comic page. Turns out the grim reaper comes with a lot of cliches in its depiction, so I tried to stay out of depicting it at all and instead focused on the more metaphorical aspects of death- lights going out and leaves falling and all that. Can’t even tell it’s about the grim reaper anymore but reaper shmeaper it’s all about the pretty leaves amirite

I had a lot of fun making this though. I don’t use alcohol markers nearly enough so it was cool to relearn them for this piece!

Chews 5 day old gum, adding a new piece each day and restarting every monday (she just swallows the old built up piece before starting a new one) and is a vigilante of the night who seeks out bad men at bars to, well “promising young women” them except she doesn’t die at the end. I hope.
