the first time you see the pact marks on Solomon you’re in awe, truly. your fingers get a mind of their own as you begin to trace the intricate designs along his chest and abdomen while he just stares, cheek pink as you put your hands all over his body.

your hands drop to your lap suddenly as you chew your bottom lip and glance away but Solomon is quick to take your chin in his fingers to fix your gaze on him.

“What is it?” he murmurs.

You blanche for a moment, the childish jealously rumbling in your chest moving to settle in your throat. The pact marks are like a vow of intimacy, and they’re many along his skin. How could he ever love someone as simple as you? with all his knowledge and connection and life he’s lived….

You’re shaken from your thoughts when a hand takes your own and places it over his heart, he smiles at you, “I hope you know, you’re the only one who has the deepest mark on me, and it’s right here.” he swallows as he squeezes your hand while you feel tears form.
