DCAF 2024 (Dartmouth, NS)

I'll be tabling this weekend on August 11th, at Dartmouth's Comics Arts Festival held in Alderney Landing.

If you're in town and in the area, I'd love to see you! My table is #26 with lots of new goodies since the last time I've tabled at VANCAF in............... 2017. Haha!

Since I've had a mishap with my printer, Comic Impressions, for my graphic novel Robust Heat, I will only have discounted C & B grade versions of the books available. My other comics are: Ane & Ere's, Part One and Rise of the Crow King. I will also have some mini prints and stickers that are available at a discounted price combo'd with any of the comics. :D

UNDER 41 HOURS LEFT ON THE CAMPAIGN! I want to thank everyone so far who's helped out in anyway--sharing, liking, checking out the page, etc. Special thanks to the backers making it happen and getting the project to where it is! All the big tiers are gone, so what's left is the PDF, the Standard Edition (non gold foil cover), and the Gold Foil cover (KS Exclusive). The campaign ends on May 3rd, 6:30 am, PST so you have until then. With many sleepless nights and dreams of memories she isn't sure to be true, she finally chooses to confront her late father's partner, Daniel Walker, for more information.

As Daniel struggles to dig deep, Soozi sifts and jumps through the bits and pieces of her childhood, aware that there are large gaps missing from her memories. A core memory stands out to her as she is able to picture it perfectly: the night her family intentionally juggled the thought of becoming fugitives to the head of state, Kaiser Khöpr, with bounties on their heads.

Here we go for self-promo, which I never am fond of doing but know I have to do it in this case! My self-published, indie comic, Robust Heat is now in pre-launch on Kickstarter! You can find it here.

It is going to be printed into a full volume, graphic novel, with 150+ pages. Full colour, American standard comic book size (6.625" x 10.25"). The printed version is going to be more polished, have rewritten, relettered, redrawn parts that the webcomic version does not have. If you like slight Baccano! vibes mixed with Netflix's Hollywood (2020), then please consider checking it out :D. The actual launch date is going to be on April 2nd, and if you'd like an email notification when the campaign goes live, the notify me button will do the job for you. And if you have anyone in mind that you think might enjoy these series, please pass this along to them! I know I don't have a wide reach/big audience, and what my comic is--I consider kind of niche-so I'm hoping to get this word of mouth get rolling. When I'm feeling the cozy vibe, I usually grab my ipad, plop on the couch, and paint stuff in Procreate! So here is a doodle painting of Juniper where I wanted to play with colours.

Did some fanart of Erica Slaughter because I wanted to! I've been catching up reading Something is Killing the Children by James Tynion IV and Werther Dell'Edera (I still need to pick up vol. 6, and 7 when it comes out in Feb). I adore the art and the writing. The comic has been such a great source to study as I work on my own comics. Forever obsessed with the art and the composition, as well as the pacing of the story and the characters. There's just so much I love about it.
