study methods you might want to try:
84% of students rely on rereading, which provides minimal benefits. Whether you're studying for a tough test or quiz, or you need a better understanding on the subject, these methods might help you.
Spaced Repetition - Which means separating your study sessions into groups. Day 1, Day 3, Day 6, etc.
Active Recall - One of the most effective and successful study methods -- in my opinion. Active recall teaches us to approach the test/exam etc. into a different angle. Flashcards, practice questions, practice tests. This method uses self-testing to help your brain memorize, retain and retrieve information more easier and efficiently.
Pomodoro Technique - Probably one of the most talked about and popular technique -- and for a reason. Study with Me videos helped me get through my first year of high school. Such techniques could be the 45-15 rule, where you study for 45 minutes and take a break for 15 minutes. I usually separate these sessions into 4 parts, so that I retain information more easily.
Feynman Technique - This method is basically as if you were teaching it to a class. Breaking down complicated things into easier, more digestible chunks. It makes you think about what you are learning. This was also developed by Nobel-Peace winning physicist Richard Feynman!

how to get over a bad grade & improve your understanding: ______________________________________________________________________
It happens to the best of us. Whether you didn't get the ideal mark you hoped for, or you failed a test. Reminder -- these are things that help me and might not be helpful towards you.
Breathe. Grades do not define who you are!! I recommend taking a breather, or listening to guided meditation. Helps sooooo well!
Look over what you went wrong. Mistakes help us grow and become more stronger as a person. Correct your grades, and discuss it with a teacher.
Ask for help when you need it! I used to be super scared of asking for help, because I felt dumb if I asked a question. I asked questions on how to improve on the next test, and it helped a lot! If your teacher provides help during lunch, use it to your best ability. Trust me. You'll feel so much better!!
Study, study, study. Practice makes perfect, and you'll get better if you understand the material. Using cue cards, practice tests and studying in a group boosted my productivity and helped me bump my grade up! Tip - if you have friends in the same class or subject, quiz each other!! I use white boards and do the blurting method, and TRUST ME.

"I am worthy and deserving of unconditional love and happiness." "I am enough as I am, and I deserve to be celebrated." "I respect and accept myself for who I am." "I will not make my mistakes or failures define who I am."
