Weekly Training Log (20.10-26.10)
Starting from this week, I am planning to increase both volume and intensity for three weeks, before I take it easy for a few days to be prepared for Tarawera 50. I wont do a real taper as I consider Tarawera 50km as a training run for the Kepler Challenge, which will be my last event this year. So I am kind of relaxed but at the same time excited to race again. This week I am planning to do two long runs plus one quality hill session as key workouts. Feeling healthy and motivated!
2h20min Long Run Total Distance: 33km Total Ascent: -
My first long run after the Skyviewtrail. Ran it at a solid pace, slightly above 4min/km. Felt quite effortless, the last 5min I ran at a 3min30sec and finished strong. Tuesday
AM meditation: 1h
AM 75min Easy Run Total Distance: 13km Total Ascent: 200m Felt a bit of fatigue from yesterday's long run, but legs loosened up after warm up.

1h40min Intense Hill Interval (2x20min) Total Distance: 20km Total Ascent: 600m I was a bit worried prior to this session, since I hadn't run hill intervals for a while and this session is one of the benchmark runs I do to see my level of fitness. Although I suffered, I was very focused and strong. Huge confidence boost!聽
