Throughout the quarantine and shift to all-things-virtual, there had been ONE word that God kept putting on my heart over and over again:⠀ ⠀ “Calendars.”⠀ ⠀ At first, I was thinking it was “content calendars” but I kept sensing there was more God was trying to get me to see. ⠀ ⠀ Then one day it hit me like a ton of bricks.⠀ ⠀ “Promotional calendars!” ⠀ ⠀ Some of you may not know this...but my undergrad degree is in Retail Merchandising. I worked in corporate retail at Macy's and Ashley Stewart as a buyer and merchandiser for five years after college.⠀ ⠀ The nerd in me still loves planning sales events and tracking sales targets... so going forward, you’ll hear more from me about creating content calendars and online sales events that help you promote your beauty services, products, and offers. ⠀ ⠀ YES! 🙌🏾⠀ ⠀ I’ve been working a lot on my own brand messaging during this downtime. It’s been SO nice to hone in on this ONE thing I want to master and serve my audience with.⠀ ⠀ I’ve also discovered that many women don’t like to promote themselves. One more thing: let’s always think about how we can get more out of our partnerships and promotions.⠀ ⠀ Beyoncé was the voice of Nala in the remake of “The Lion King” in 2019. ⠀ ⠀ But…*BUT!*…She ended up also:⠀ ⠀ ✔️1. Creating and singing lead vocals on the 2019 soundtrack⠀ ⠀ ✔️2. Directing and releasing a “companion film” (I’d never heard of a “companion film” before now, but okay…)⠀ ⠀ ✔️3. Having said “companion film” premiere on Disney’s exclusive streaming network⠀ ⠀ ✔️4.
