Not the anon who originally said that about the predators, but I know for a fact there is some & I also know for a fact when people try to name names people in the fandom harass them & I understand why even with the anonymity someone might be reluctant. I’m not gonna name names because I’m not personally a victim, but one of my friends is, and if she wants to put them it’s his place, not mine -🪼

sometimes i feel like the wttt fanfic writers don't get enough credit for producing all the wonderful stories and the wttt fanart artists don't get enough credit too

i see plenty of stories with hits (which mean nothing in reality) but no one leaves even kudos anymore (comments preferred of course, but even clicking a kudos button cannot be that hard) but i do think this is an overall problem for every fandom

people seem to be just consuming the fic and art without interacting and then wonder why writers and artists start to become discouraged and stop posting leading to "dry spells" in the fandom spaces

fandom is not content. fanfic writers and artists are not content machines like your favorite creators on all social media sites! we do not get paid for this

wttt is already a small fandom compared to many others, and we only have so many artists and writers who consistently post their art and stories

so i think more comments on fics and art would be a wonderful thing especially if you read it or really liked the art, it doesn't have to be profound

a "love this" or a heart emoji would be enough to know that there are people out there who love your stuff

i think it would boost morale in the fandom where we maybe get a wttt video every couple of months

fandom as a whole seems to be leaning further and further into barely commenting at all, and there's little I wouldn't do to prevent wttt from following that trend. the wttt fandom is more of a community than most if not all other fandoms I've been in, and I'd love to keep it that way.

If it's true there's a predator, then we need more information. Just stating there is one helps no one and could set of a series of witch hunts and could hurt the wrong people and split an already small fandom. What type of predator is there? How do we protect ourselves and our friends? What do we watch for and and keep an eye out for?

there have been so many call outs yet everytime the posts get screamed at by said predators and their friends lmao. main reason why i left this shit fandom

Is the anon who says there are predators in the community going to name names? Not that I don't believe them but if people are genuinely being predators and hurting people or minors, there needs to be a call out post so we know who they are and to avoid contact them, block them, and report them to Tumblr to get their blogs banned along with any other social media space we may have them on.

I haven't seen any myself, so I'll give this up for the fandom to answer
