Personal post- I decided to do an art challenge, my color choices places where my feelings feel strongest in my body. I am someone with a hot temper- during my time in school people found it funny to try and get me to react, making it hard for me to ever calm down. Being afraid of losing friends or being unapproachable, I tried to suppress my personality as much as possible. These days I use my energy to try and find happiness- even if I'm afraid.

Valkinen was meant to be the first main boss of my campaign, a unicorn whose magic was infused with a flame that decimated the countryside. This painting was made for the purpose of his encounter, but its perfect even without the story. I studied the background art in Bambi to get a breathy feel to the fire effect.

I learned in the past week or so that the first dnd campaign I really am in-deep with is coming to an end soon. Its been going on for years, and turned into such a comforting space. Things have to come to an end eventually, and for my paladin, that end is her becoming a goddess of the ocean. Im so very proud of her, and getting to know her through drawing has really pulled me from a weird place where I felt I couldn't make anything for the longest time. Love you Jack, you are my fave. *mwah*
