Friday night: Pizzas & Peroni

I took advantage of leaving work early, went to the supermarket to buy some beers (fate was on my side, because I wanted Peroni and it was on sale) and got back home to make homemade pizzas!

I invited Wiremu, a Couch Surfing kiwi friend, and not only tried and liked my pizzas, but also mate and dulce de leche (typical argentinian food).

Finally, we went to the Wind Turbine to take some pictures of the city and the sky, it was a really starry night.

Botanic Gardens of Wellington

Some months ago, I met Andrew Gibson on Skype. He is a photographer with lot of knowledge about his profession. He lives in Wellington, where I am settled down, so we arrange to meet in person.

He kindly offered to pick us up at our place in Brooklyn, and then go to the Botanic Gardens of Wellington:

Even though the weather is very unstable, it was a sunny day with a great temperature to take a walk...

As every place, there is an entrance and here it is:

In the gardens, there are all kind of flowers and trees, with different colours, textures and sizes. The ones that I liked most were these:

In the middle of the Botanic Gardens, there is a greenhouse that is a beautiful place with exotic plants and fountains:

Wellington, NZ - 25/09/2014

It's been a while since I first met Andrew Gibson on Skype, and we arranged to meet in person when I was settled down in Wellington, where he lives. He kindly offered to pick us up at our place in Brooklyn, and took us to the Botanic Garden, where we spent the hole morning surrounded by all kind of flowers and trees with different colours, textures and sizes.

Wellington, NZ - 17/09/2014

We started the day with a walk in Central Park, where you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, just listening to the birds singing in the background. Then we visited the Wind Turbine and the Mount Victoria, where we could see the city from the top.

We went to the Mount Victoria (in maori, Tangi Te Keo), a prominent hill (height 196 metres) to the east of the centre of Wellington, New Zealand.

From this spot, you can see a stunning 360 degree views of the city, the harbour and the ocean to the south.

Wellington, NZ - 14/09/2014

It's our first day at Brooklyn, which is 3 km south of Wellington’s central business district on the eastern slopes of the hills above Happy Valley.

We took a walk around, get to know better the neighbourhood, and then went to lunch to a little shop called Caribbean Cafe, where they make amazing cappuccinos.
