zak thinks all the tensions on the team are solved by having oscar and lando go on dinner dates and golfing… this is rancid in a funny way, it's like a set up for an enemies to lovers trope:

they are fierce rivals, but are forced to spend more time than necessary and must pretend to like each other not only in pr videos, but also for their boss when he forces them to go on golf dates, even though one of them (oscar) has made it clear that he hates it. despite their differences they end up falling in love thanks to forced proximity and trauma bonds 💕

i’ve been a fan for like 14 years, my main favs are max and charles, i deeply love danny, jb, and nico but seb will always be my number 1. i don’t hate lewis, alex, oscar and pierre and i pretty much don’t care about most of the rest of the grid. i shit talk mclaren, as a team, OFTEN and cannot stand perez, stroll, or sainz.

my other interests are baseball (let’s go dodgers) and i listen to fob, daisy grenade, renee, chappell, taylor, billie and then random bunch of other shit

hoy take: as a mclaren fan i really don’t think oscar and lando are a stronger driver pairing than leclerc and sainz😭😭 if ferrari didn’t have issues all of the time surely they’d take constructors over us by december. not saying that mclaren wont improve but atm with oscar’s tyre management (which improvement comes w more experience) and some inconsistencies they are not stronger than lec land sainz… idk i think they are definitely going to be in the future but not rn. im not tryna hate on oscar btw he’s probably my favourite driver

i’ve said frequently that i think lando and oscar are the best pairing on the grid, but i don’t necessarily mean in terms of skill. obviously they’re both pretty strong drivers, but they need time to really become champion-level. lando needs to mature, and oscar still has a lot to learn (tyre management very much included). but when i say they’re the best pairing i mean media-wise. they have a really natural dynamic that might actually rival carlando, because they balance each other really well and they’re very much equals, which was not really the case with carlos and lando. landoscar is super marketable and fantastic for pr the same way carlando was, though. i will say sylvia and the ferrari media team have certainly tried their best to make charles and carlos marketable and believable, and for years they definitely succeeded. but recent events (spain) have completely destroyed that image and reminded everyone that a teammate friendship is usually fabricated for pr. another thing that i think makes lando and oscar a good pair is that they’re not afraid to fight each other on track, but they can work as a team when needed. carlos and charles cannot do that, as we’ve seen before (spain).

I want to kms. It makes me think about the triple header after the summer break. How mclaren left him on his own to answer all the questions. That one cursed photo of him sitting alone in Spa before they tried to undercut him with Lando in the race. How despite those pretty shit first two races, he still went to monza and somehow made it to Q3 and pipped Lando at the race start for P3 before they put him on the worse strategy and finally his car giving up on him.
