Felix: Brave Sword, double strike to the chest followed by a stab through the upper left side of the torso. Insurgents would have used Iron Swords and would have had back up from Mages casting Cutting Gale. Would have left more minute cuts from debris. These weren't your average militia. Most likely a skilled band of elite mercenaries with a high paying boss.

Mercedes: You can tell all that from the wounds on their body?

Felix: It's a very distinctive wound pattern.

(I love Elliot's little "it's a very distinctive X" from Leverage and I feel this is applicable to multiple characters in FE3H.)

OC Questions on the Seven Colours of Medieval Heraldry.

A little list of OC questions based on colour symbolism in Medieval English Heraldry. This is a very simplified version of the subject, which is unlikely to impress any serious Medievalists and is intended more for the purposes of entertainment than education.

Gules (Red) - Military Fortitude and Magnanimity.

Does your OC have any experience in the military? Perhaps they come from a long line of soldiers or army leaders? Or were they conscripted or press-ganged into an army at a young age? If they have not had a formal position in an army, then what is their view of the military mindset and hierarchies they have observed?

Does your OC believe in the concept of a "just war" or do they believe that all conflict is to be deplored? Could they conceive of a justifiable reason for one nation to invade another - perhaps to free an oppressed people or prevent the development of a dangerous technology? Or would they only support a war of defence against an aggressor?

🌌 If your OC has a nightmare, what’s it most likely about?

Tancred's still young, so monsters are a common one. The monsters destroying everyone he loves is the most common. The monster usually looks like his father in some way, shape, or form.

Rosamund's is usually of being left behind or being seen as useless. Her loved ones perishing, and their ghosts mocking her on her failings (particularly her lack of magic).

Medee relives memories in her nightmares. Losing her family. In non-Crimson Flower routes, the news of losing Hubert. She's someone very locked into her past.

Davi, meanwhile, has three consistent nightmares he's haunted by. The first is the one is the memories of the Tragedy of Duscur. The second being a nightmare of losing his current family because of someone discovering his Crest. And the third, and probably most terrifying for him, is a possible good ending where the discovery of his Crest doesn't end in doom and gloom, but instead results in an isolated existence above everyone around him. Something he already experiences somewhat now as a leader of his current home, but on the scale of that of a King.

🤝 Does your OC have someone they want at their side when they are scared? Who?

For Tancred, when he's scared, he wants only his family by his side at first. It's not until he meets the others at Garreg Mach that this expands to people like Ferdinand, Dorothea, Mercedes, and Manuela. Almost anyone from the class of 1180, really.

Rosamund doesn't really want people by her side when scared. She doesn't like people seeing her afraid. But I imagine that, aside from Hubert, she would trust Petra, Caspar, Ferdinand, Felix, and Bernadetta to see her scared. So she might seek them out, along with her brother.

Medee wants her siblings. But that can never be.

Before the tragedy, Davi would reach out for his brother Rui or grandfather when he's afraid. These days, he would reach out to Graham, who kind of took Rui's place as that pillar of strength for him. If you manage to recruit him, then that person would become the Professor.

📚 Your OC has to improvise a 10 minute lecture about a topic of their choosing. What do they chose?

Davi would immediately jump to a Duscur History lesson, focusing on the mining village he came from, along with the God of War and God of Earth from Duscur's pantheon, as those two were particularly of focus in their village.

Tancred would do a small lecture on how certain spells, while combative, can be adapted to be used in more creative ways with a little skill.

Medee will either be giving lectures on potions or making you write essays on why every ruling government on the continent sucks in a "This is why its Ronald Reagan's fault" way and it's a 50/50 chance on which you'll get.

Rosamund basically is a survivalist course. So many of these noble kids wouldn't last 10 days away from home with nothing but a knife and a sewing kit, so she's going to make sure they will.

🥪 On a scale from ‘burns water’ to '5 course menu’ how well can your OC cook?

Tancred is still a kid, but I like to imagine he eventually learns how to cook enough to pack a picnic lunch.

Medee could easily do a five-course meal. She just prefers to do smaller meals because of how much time she takes up in her labs and caring for Tancred.

Rosamund is much the same, but she's more skilled at cooking in the woods than in a kitchen. Probably the best cook out of the Vestra siblings. Would be the one in modern AUs to storm into your apartment, reprimand you for only stock piling instant ramen and beer, and then set to work making a proper dinner with the groceries she brought.

Davi is just passable. He is skilled if it's Duscur cuisine and could easily cook a fantastic feast if you gave him a kitchen, but anything you'd find at Garreg Mach? It's rather unseasoned and bland. And in the case of noodles, a little overcooked. But that's only because he hasn't learned it yet. Give him time, and he'll be on the same level as Ashe with Fódlan cuisine.

🔪 What does your OC think how they’ll die? 

This one is worded weirdly so I'm going to assume it means "how does your OC think they'll die".

Tancred was pretty convinced he'd die young due to his chronic illness. As he gets older, he starts to wonder a little, but doesn't really focus it. He probably wants to die in peace, in bed, with a smile on his face.

Rosamund hopes for the same, but thinks she'll probably die in battle. Most likely to an axe or a sword.

Medee is certain she'd be assassinated. There's enough people who want her dead, and those that don't currently will soon.

Davi was sure he was going to die of old age peacefully in bed before the Tragedy. Now he's just waiting for the day someone slips something into his drink or stabs him in the back.

Alright, here we go!

12. Your OC is teased regarding something that they actually feel very sensitive about.

If this was back when she was in school, Medee would just blast them with some Thunder and call it a day. Now, she just keeps it in. Too much going on to bother.

Depends on what it is they're making fun of her for, since Rosamund has a lot about herself she's sensitive about. She'll mostly feel pretty bad about it, but doesn't do much. Unless it strikes a particular nerve. Then she'll probably hit them.

Tancred would mostly cry. But that's because he's a kid who has very little confidence. Once he gains confidence later, though? He'll fight back. Probably channels his family's natural creep factor and spooks them.

Davi doesn't respond to teasing. But he will sulk about it in private later.

36. Your OC is training or sparring and someone compliments them.

Medee finds the compliment endearing. She's rather glad others are impressed. She's a little rusty, after all.

Tancred gets all bright eyed and would be smiling. He'd also ask for pointers if the compliment is from someone who is an expert in what he's training it.

Rosamund would take the compliment rather well. Probably get a little flustered. Mostly just shrugs it off though. Unless its from people who she admires. She might ride that high for a while.

Davi accepts the compliment, but is very nervous depending on who gives the compliment. Admits he still has a long way to go. Tries to find more private places to train later.

50. Your OC finds something they though had been lost forever long ago - perhaps a letter from a friend, a picture of a family member or a souvenir of a even many years before.

Tancred would be very excited about it, most likely. He'd have to show everyone.

Rosamund would be much more private about it. She'd try to make sure no one else knows what she found. Most likely, she'd never talk about it to anyone.

Medee is also private about it, but if you ask her, she'll tell. She actually doesn't mind sharing. It'll help her not be alone with her thoughts.

Davi would be silent for a day or two. It will consume his every thought for a while. Even if he tells you about it, it doesn't stop it from consuming him for a bit. He'll be back to normal soon. But it'll hurt for a while.

10. Your OC is introduced to someone who they have clearly met before and cannot remember their name in the slightest.

Rosamund would be straight with them. She'd admit she doesn't remember. She makes it a point to remember this time.

Medee never forgets. But on the rare occasion she does, she uses the classic "What's your name again?" and after getting their first name, follows up with "No, no, your family name, dear."

Tancred is just a kid, so he's very awkward about it. He just pretends he remembers until he hears someone say the name. Or, if this person is particularly nice, he'll admit he doesn't remember and ask again.

Davi also admits it outright like Rosamund, but he follows it up with an apology and that he tries not to remember too many names so he doesn't get attached. Unless the person is racist, then he uses any language except the one the person is using and walks away before things get worse.

33. Your OC has found something funny and cannot, literally cannot, stop laughing.

Rosamund would laugh. And laugh. And point out exactly why it's funny to her. If she can get a word out.

Medee has her hand over her mouth, holding back a snort. Tries to brush it off unless it's particularly embarrassing or entertaining. Or both.

Tancred has the biggest, brightest smile, and even though it's a bit muffled, it's the loveliest sound you'll hear.

Davi is trying to hard to be polite and not laugh. He tends to get louder than Alois when laughing. He also tries to get out of there fast, if the things he finds funny could get him in trouble.

42. Your OC is watching a stage performance by a clown or magician and is called up to the stage in the name of audience participation…

Rosamund refuses if she can. Only goes up if she gets support from her friends/family. And as long as she doesn't get embarrassed.

Tancred and Davi both are super excited to join the performance. Someone will have to go with Tancred to translate just in case. Someone has to remind Davi not to be reckless, and he'll pout like a child because "I know, I'm supposed to lay low, but I WAS INVITED!"

Medee doesn't hesitate. Participates. Vanishing in a puff of smoke after her part is done. Everyone thinks it's part of the show. It's not.

6. Your OC discovers that an acquaintance - who they view positively, but have no romantic feelings towards - has a massive crush on them.

It would really depend on who it is, but he would most likely let them down gently. Davi has enough going on already that coming up with reasons why not to date is easy enough. But since he also doesn't have a lot of courting experience anyway, he might agree to a couple of dates, just to see if maybe there is a spark there. It would really depend.

7. Your OC must buy (or otherwise obtain) a new and decidedly fancy outfit for a high society event.

He would probably have to research the event a bit first, but otherwise, he'll probably just acquire appropriate shirts and such, and then wear his father's kilt. Something more in line with his village's attire. Unless told otherwise, that would be his go to.

18. Your OC is challenged to contest of strength or skill by someone of surpassing arrogance.

Pre-War: Immediately turns around and tries to pretend he wasn't challenged. Then tries to come up with reasons why he wouldn't be able. Then, when all else fails, tries to come up with a way to lose on purpose so he can get out of there. His strength is already too strong. He can't let anyone else see just how much he has.

During/Post-War: Doesn't hesitate. Has no options left but to meet the challenge. Warns the challenger that he won't hold back. Makes sure medical personnel are within 5 feet of the event.

35. Your OC finds a lost child in the marketplace or commercial district.

I actually have something planned for his supports with Dimitri. To summarize, since he's really tall, he'd offer to lift the child onto his shoulders, and then call out for the child's parents after asking the child's name. If that fails, he'll walk around with a child on his shoulders while he sings some opera until they find the parents.
