"Violence can be a reasonable response to an unreasonable situation."
I believe that "violence is never the answer" to any situation. It's as Martin Luther King had stated "Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars... Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that." Violence only makes things worse and that's a fact. (Unless there's a serial killer trying to murder you in the kitchen, you can stab him with a knife.)
The best example to show that violence always makes it worse for anyone is when Christopher hit the police officer because he touched him. What happened next was he was sent to police station. He could've avoided all that by just not hitting him, but Christopher has to get used to people and better behavior. Since he has Asparagus Syndrome it's more difficult for him to abandon solving things with unintentional violence. My opinion though about violence wouldn't change. Violence is not a way to solve an issue because it only increases it.

I agree with you in many ways. The only thing I don’t very much relate to, even though I wrote as well that I agree with you on that point in my blog, would be “keeps you connected“ and “the knowledge of the event alone keeps you in touch with the participating people.” Reason being is: it may inform us of many things going around the world, tell us of other people’s news, you’d also be able to text your friends a lot, and communicate with many people you know and don’t; even though we could do all of that we still are”disconnected.”
Many don’t see each other as much as before since the internet was created, probably since the telephone was created. It only keeps us connected over wifi and wires, but we don’t see each other as much.
I agree social media is a great thing, but if I’d speak the truth of how I feel about it, I would definitely state it “disconnected” us in reality and “connected” us only over the internet.
Write 1-2 paragraphs explaining how you currently think or feel about social media. Also include how you feel about using Tumblr for a school project. Include at least one positive and one negative.
To most social media is the greatest thing but, honestly, to me it’s just alright. I’m not into posting my whole life on to the internet and even if I was, I don’t have the time. Admittedly though it is fun to see what everyone is up to without having to go and ask. This helps keep up with what’s going on in the world and keeps you connected even if you didn’t voice our opinions because the knowledge of the event alone keeps you in touch with the participating people. But the thing is that there’s not much time available to be able to go on social media because of the tons of tests, quizzes and projects we’re required to do for school.
I have mixed feelings about using Tumblr for a school project but mostly I feel good about it. This is because this project made it necessary for me to make a Tumblr account (I never used Tumblr before and this is all very new to me). You know how when you do something new and it just makes you happy to be doing something different and that just makes it all so much fun and this is why I love the idea of using social media for a school project.
The negative part about out using Tumblr for a school project is that it makes it very easy for us to get distracted by every other blog also on Tumblr. Whenever I do any kind of school work I make sure there are no distractions present but working using social media makes this a little harder. No worries though because this is an adversity I will soon overcome.

There is no such thing as "normal" when it comes to human beings
"There is no such thing as normal when it comes to human beings." It's true and I solemnly agree with that statement. Reason being is humans are diverse creatures. We create ourselves by ourselves and with how things in life affects us. Just like a rose is different from a sunflower; every person is different from the other. Since there is no one that's exactly the same as the other, that means people cannot be normal.
What's normal? That's a question that cannot be defined in life, but only in a dictionary which states: ordinary, typical, and regular. Humans cannot be ordinary since we are all unique in our own way. Typical, we cannot be typical since our decisions in life are not determined always to be the same and obvious or well recognized. They can change from time to time and not only that, but ,we, ourselves change. We cannot be regular since we are different and diverse which keeps us irregular. No person can be normal. Every person is their own unique self. "C'est la vie." This is life. That's how people are.

Jason Statham - Christopher’s Father
He would be a suitable character in a way, even though he's more of the action type, because he actually is able to act affectionately well around children. That would be viewed a lot in the movie "Homefront." He also reacts quickly to incidents. Lastly, he's bald and I always imagined of Christopher's father as a bald person.
Macaulay Culkin - Christopher
His acting skills even as child were very comprehensive. He acted his mystery and funny scenes flawlessly. He would've been able to hoax his audience into really believing he is Christopher. The movies that really made me think of him as Christopher were "Home Alone" since he actually acted a bit a detective. As well as "The Good Son" where he takes a mysterious and dangerous character.

Sandra Bullok - Christopher’s Mom
I'd imagine Christopher's mom looked like Sandra Bullok; that's one reason I'd pick her. She also has the ability to act as a stern character, yet has a really soft side to her; she did so in her movies "The Engagement" and "The Blind Side."

- A Song that Represents “Overcoming Adversity” -
What is "Overcoming Adversity?" It's overcoming an unfortunate circumstance. That means fighting to not back down and lose to misfortune. It's saying "I am not a weak person, I can beat this, and I will win." "Stand in the Rain" talks of courage and weakness, and how courage overcomes weakness.
"Stand in the rain, stand your ground, stand up when it's all crashing down. You stand through the pain, you won't drown, and one what's lost can be found. You stand in the rain." The lyrics speak of a person who stands through and against his/her fortune. A person who is pain, but still stands strongly not to fall weakly. Even though it's difficult that person still stands in the rain. That's how to overcome adversity. By letting fear go and standing against what weakens you. "One day what's lost can be found." One day you will overcome this. Hope is a reason to overcome adversity, and success is overcoming it. This song defines the theme, "Overcoming Adversity.”

How Social Networking is Beneficial
Social networking is the use of dedicated websites and applications to interact with other users, or to find people with similar interests to one's own.
It allows people from all over the world to socialize and not just from the same region. This gets people to get to gain more knowledge about other cultures and religions and familiarize themselves with them.It doesn't take time to send a message as it did long ago when it took weeks to months to have one letter delivered, which keeps many people "in touch. This helps in a business workplace, in which it aids in getting work done in a quicker pace. It's also used for entertainment for personal entertainment of many, maybe even all. Social networking has many positives and should, as always, be used in the good way to benefit from it.

"Overcoming adversity" means overcoming a hard time or circumstance. The picture posted shows a person who has cancer in his healthy, and frail and different forms. A person may say "he got worse" or "I pity him because he became diagnosed with cancer." Other people, such as I, would say "I'm glad he's better" or "He's in tip top shape once again." I look at this picture as before and after from left to right, which in my opinion, and many others, may seem more logical. The picture shows from left to right that the young boy had cancer and he fought it. Not only did he fight, but he overcame his adversity, cancer. Another powerful observation would be he's smiling even though he has cancer, and this shows he's strong  and unwilling to surrender to his misfortune, but overpower it and pursue happiness and good health. It also showed us that he smiled the same smile at the "after" picture. This image really gives a good view of the young boy overcoming his adversity.

Four More Facts About Asperger Syndrome
·      It's a form of autism, which means the person would have impaired communication and emotional detachment.
·      Even though it's a form of autism it does not share all the same characteristics. For example:
o   It would not include speech delay. They actually have strong language skills, but they may not be able to pick up subtleties, such as humor or sarcasm.
o   What separates Asperger's from many other forms of  Autistic Spectrum Disorders is that individuals often demonstrate normal or above-normal levels of intelligence, and often perform well academically.
o   Individuals growing up with Asperger's often shy away from human contact, so they often self-alienate.
o   The connection between Asperger's syndrome and violence is misleading. They have a lot of problems with anxiety and they have problems with relationships with other people too but that doesn't translate into violence. When they are little kids, they have tantrums because they don't know what to do and they feel adults don’t understand them.
Since Christopher is diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome those four facts stated above can relate to him easily. – The first point mainly states that a person diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome would have difficulty not in simply just communication with people, but understanding what they say "between the lines." Like: jokes, sarcasm, or emotional feelings. They may understand logically, but cannot relate to how normal people would think about it. That's how Christopher is. It was once mentioned that he tried to understand the happy, sad, and other faces from his teacher. He would hold up a paper with doodles beside a person's face to see which one was he/she feeling. Christopher himself even states that he doesn't get jokes. – The second point states that people with Asperger Syndrome usually are highly intelligent. Which is true since Christopher actually views himself to the readers as a smart kid and very logical. He does really well in his studies in school. – The third point talks about how children growing up with Asperger Syndrome self-alienate. Christopher takes more than a week to warm up to new people and it didn't matter if it was an adult or child. – The third paragraph talks about violence in Asperger Syndrome and actually states that children with Asperger Syndrome are not violent. As children they have trouble expressing themselves to adults, and generally people of all ages. It does not always lead to violence. It depends on the situation they're out it, as we can infer that from the part where Christopher was taken by the police for hitting one of the police officers. Christopher hit him because he was uncomfortable with the way he's holding him, he's a child and didn't know how to act even though he knew the consequences of his actions. – Those points relate a lot to how Christopher acts and thinks which gives a better idea of why he acts that way.

How social media has changed the way I think about written communication?
Social media has changed so many things in life where letter communication has almost become extinct, but still has a little place for many other people in life. It became over 90% of people's lives. It's how we communicate and entertain ourselves, but in many people's eyes, specifically adults such as parents, they think and feel instead of bringing people together it seperated them. It brings the farthest closer and pushes the closest farthest away. "Letter Communication" was and still is slower compared to social media, but it taught humans how to be patient unlike social media and generally the Internet. Since people use it as part of their daily like now it acts as an important and very much needed in most aspects and situations in life (For scientists, business, advertisments, ...etc.)
It brought people together from the farthest of lands closer to one another. People know more about other cultures, religions, traditions, and such and not only from research, but from getting to know other people from other countries by "chatting" with them. It made people that were closer way farther apart though. The best example would be having dinner.  What's supposed happen is have dinner with the family and enjoy each others company, but it seems the phone is family too. It causes miscommunication not only over the Internet. Between people in "real life" as well. An example would be a mother calling her daughter/son. The daughter/son would have headphones on and are innocent since they honestly didn't hear her. The mother would think her child is ignoring her and World War II would begin. Social media and generally the Internet made it faster to communicate. It took weeks and months for letters to arrive from one region to another in the previous years, but it takes seconds now for a text message to arrive to a friend. It can be good, but it made people become impatient. As well as the spread of false rumors is quicker. Nevertheless, social media has become part of daily life and so it became so important to many that it can't be given up.

So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.

Social Media - Prompt 1
Social Media is actually a vital "tool" for most people in this and the coming centuries. They are a way to communicate and entertain ourselves and others. I think using Tumblr as a school project is a creative idea since most teenagers relate to social media more than posters, drawings, and such. Though it's a great idea and very essential for many of us, teenage students, it's still not the "perfect" of ideas. Since it's not a flawless idea, there are positives and negatives to it.
The positive idea was already mentioned. Students these days could relate more to social media because it's what teens use and rely on for communicating and entertainment. As for the negative, not all student like to be "goodies-two-shoes" and go by the rules. There are rules and regulations to ensure that the student would use, specifically “Tumblr” since we're using it for our project, in a satisfying way for the student, teacher, and administration. So long we're not contradicting the rules we're all on the safe zone. The school can never be too sure that all the students will abide by the rules and that's what's negative. It's how they'll use it that matters and for what. An Arabic saying states that anything, in this case social media, is "a double-edged sword."
