#022 - 12/16 xix TEA source: https://www.learn-about-tea.com/facts-about-tea.html (to be reviewed - "facts about tea")
historical notes and facts about tea indicate this ever-popular beverage originated in China some 5,000 years ago. it was dicovered in 2737 BC by Chinese Emperor Shen-Nun, who was considered a divine healer, when some tea leaves accidentally blew into a pot of boiling water. yet it took nearly 100 years for tea to reach other parts of the globe. dutch traders were the first to bring tea to the West in the early 1600s where it later become a commonly accepted staple of trade. the facts about tea reveal that all types of tea originate from the same evergreen shrub: the Camellia Sinensis. there are more than 3,000 varities of this tea bush that are grown in mountainous areas around the world. whether you sip black, green, oolong or white tea depends on what happens after the flush, when the top two leaves and buds are harvested, processed and shipped. BLACK TEA the most popular variety, offers a hearty flavor and deep redish colour that results from an extensive fermentation process that includes exposing crushed tea leaves to the air for set amount of time until they are full oxidized and dried. GREEN TEA makes up about 10% of world-tea production and is a milder brew iwth a mild, appealing taste and understandably green appearance. there is no oxidation during processing. rather, the leaves are simply withered and then roasted or dried. WHITE TEA the rarest type of tea, come from young tea leaves that are picked before the buds have fully opened. the tea features a delicate, soft taste and light coloration. with a minimal approach to processing, white tea leaves are simply steamed and dried, which keeps them closer to their natural state.
TEA PROCESSING Whitering is freshly harvest tea leaves spread out onto tables or trays, which are then left to dry. moisture is removed and the leaf becomes soft and prepared for rolling. Rolling is the process whereby machines break the cells in the leaves. this releases the tea leaf juices and enzymes and exposes them to the air to enhance oxidation Oxidation also known as fermentation, begins during the rolling process. the rolled leaves are spread out in a temperature and humidity controlled room where the leaf color deepens from green to reddish-brown... and then to black. Firing is a process whereby the tea leaves are fired (or dried) by slowly heating them in a drying chamber. this stops the oxidation process and the leaves are preapred for storage.
NATURAL CHEMICALS IN TEA substances inherent to tea leaves include essential plant oils, caffeine and polyphenols. facts about tea reveal that the oils provide the tea's aroma, caffeine serves a stimulant, and the polyphenols are attributed to a tea's anti-oxidant properties. the type of fermentation process tea leaves undergo determines the level and impact of the chemicals found in various types of tea types. for example, black tea, which undergoes complex fermentation, evokes a strong scent and has the heaviest concentration of caffeine. on the other hand, white tea, with its limited processing is best known for healing and protective properties that remain in the leaves from the polyphenols. green and oolong are known to feature moderated levels of caffeine, aroma and antioxidant properties, whic ties their partially fermented processing. https://www.learn-about-tea.com/white-tea-benefits.html  (more on benefits of white tea) RELATED INFORMATION - FACTS ABOUT TEA More About Types of Tea Shop for Tea Tea Industry Terms: A Helpful Glossary Loose Leaf Tea vs. Tea Bags How to Brew Tea What is Tea Cupping? 7 Stoic Exercises For Inner Peace
if you wanna achieve inner peace, stoicism has some valuable methods to offer:
1. negative visualization
setting yourself up for disappointed. starting the day with positive attitutude
negative visualization mentally prepares you for undesirable situations
have an accepting attitude
2. self control practice.
the ability to self control is useful to stay away from addictive behaviour, i.e. smoking
stops you from acting on your impulses when it's better not to & focus on what truly matters to you
the key is strengthening the things in our control, which takes practice
this can be by intermittent fasting, or chewing your food a certain amount of times before you swallow
3. don't give a shit
eat w/ ur bare hands in a restaurant
we are afraid of social ostricism : by deliberately making a fool of yourself, you will be exposed to situations in which people will judge slowly you will experience that this will not hurt as much as you would've imagined
4. journaling
one of the most famous stoics, marcus aurelius autonimus did this, and you can find a journal he wrote called "meditations"
was never meant to be published as it was a personal diary
5. memento mori
by reminding ourselves that we are going to die
thinking of the reality of death puts life into perspective
teaches us to not waste our lives on trivial things
dedicate life to gratitude
6. view from above

sweet succubus... thought we moved on fr this. youre still threatened by me & holding a grudge over absolutely nothing? i didn't choose the way i look or whatever it is about me that makes you feel inferior, but you continually banning/attacking me reinforces how irrational you are - not only to me, but to many of the other regular users who have PMd me in agreeance, explaining that you’re just “like that” & it’s not the first time (not a gd look). it’s childish to dislike a woman out of fear that you may not get as much attention. you’re not driving me away, but making me want to come here more as i’ve already built friendships in here, bonding over these trifling attacks. you haven’t won- that cannot be reversed, so for your own health, it’s best you just let these things go. i truly hope you learn to love yourself more. this goes out to mojo as well. the best defence you have is to ban me because you do not have the capacity to admit that this is the truth & you are wrong, but i hope you find the strength to self-reflect. the mean things i’ve said took place after your belligerent attacks - i don’t condone to bullying, unless if it’s directed to other bullies in order to shut them down :~) let’s chill now - drama is lame & feeds the negativity/anger that grows inside you. take care

“ synecdochePeanuts are probably the sneakiest type of legumes, if only because of their name. Like other legumes, peanuts are problematic because they contain lectins and phytic acid, but peanuts also bring a new guest to the party: aflatoxins. Aflatoxins aren’t actually part of the peanut itself; they’re produced by a mold that tends to grow on peanuts (as well as other non-Paleo crops like corn). This mold thrives on crops stored in warm, humid places, and it’s so difficult to eliminate that the FDA has “
