No literally because Irratino literally faked his death AND refused to check his voicemails to save Logico from being kidnapped and Logico still stayed that's true love right there
Find yourself someone who loves you the way Logico loves Irratino, and you’re set.

Well, looks like there's a reason why lemon is a computer ethicist bahahahaha
*Eggplant, Olive, and Lemon have been saddled with watching over baby Olivia while Indigo is out*
Olive: *while Olivia is scream-crying* Maybe she’s hungry?!
Eggplant: Yeah! Let’s, uh, give her a chili dog! Everyone loves chili dogs.
Olive: I don’t think she can eat solid food.
Eggplant: Well then put it in the blender.
Lemon: *picks Olivia up* If you say so. *starts walking towards blender*
Eggplant: *horrified* THE CHILI DOG, NOT THE BABY!

if I had a nickel for every time I cooked up a murdle AU where the main antagonist in Logico's life was also a parallel to Irratino's methodology I'd have two nickles. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice
So, in the swap AU, it’s Midnight (giant rambling lore dump here for context, but TLDR Midnight III takes on prosecution to get back at Illogico (swap Logico) for using spirit channeling to convict Midnight I, in a parallel to Leo (swap Irratino) who took on prosecution to get vengance on the people who murdered his moms.)
In the Murdle: Become Human AU (yeah that names official because I got nothing better), it’s Amethyst! Had this epiphany in the car and I gotta share it with y’all.
So, summary of ideas I cooked up (another shoutout to @\lilythelitten and @\murdlygirly for contributions)- In the DBH Canon, Connor has an AI who functions as Connor’s handler, getting updates from him and monitoring his progress. In this AU, Amanda’s role is filled by MORIARTY!
How does a real human marot reader wind up as an AI handler in Android Logico’s head? Essentially, Amethyst’s main goal is to prove the legitimacy of the marot, and what better way to do that then to that then to be backed by the biggest company around, TekCo? She starts as just working as a consultant, using the marot readings to guide the advice she gave. As she started gaining TekCo's trust with her supposed tech insights, she was given the role of being the advisor to Logico, through MORIARTY. Slight tangent here: While Amanda communicates with Connor in a zen garden, I think MORIARTY communicates with Logico is a fortune teller tent setting, perhaps something at the end of a small path with some cool candles and cushions? Its very colorful, in contrast to Logico's much more monochrome appearance. Furthermore, Amethyst absolutely designed MORIARTY to be her supercool VR-sona. In the fantasy land where I have time and don't have exams, I can draw both those ideas. None of that matters, but it's important to me that you know that.
Back onto the actual point I wanted to make: Both Amethyst and Irratino want to prove the legitimacy of marot and the esoteric, but in different ways and for different reasons. Amethyst wants to prove to the world she's correct, and intends on doing so by manipulating Logico through using it to guide the marot to guide him, and when he saves the day from the deviant crisis, she'll reveal "Hey! That was because of me and my cards!" And because Logico is an android, isn't alive, and can't feel anything, it doesn't matter at all that she used him and only advised him as a stepping stone to her own power and notoriety. Not like he can care about it.
Irratino, however, has a similar goal but is motivated much more by compassion. He wants to use the marot as a tool for Logico, yes, but because he wants to show him a world outside of the rigid logic he's made to feel and emulate. He wants to use the marot to advise Logico to not obey, to think and choose, to feel. And perhaps that is what brings TekCo to illegitimacy, and with any luck brings androids to freedom.
Furthermore, there's also a new stake introduced when you consider the implications of them both using the marot. Irratino is able to get Logico to talk about MORIARTY sooner or later, and he's familiar enough with marot to pick up on some of the motifs in the cards and in Logico's retellings. But it's a double edged sword, because Amethyst can tell that Irratino is doing the same thing whenever Logico talks to her as MORIARTY. Plus, as a human and impartial third party, she's able to pick up on the fact Irratino is trying to get Logico to deviate faster than Logico himself can. This ends up leading into Amethyst telling this to Indigo, Indigo telling her to tell Logico to get rid of Irratino, which is the catalyst to Logico fully deviating. Even if he can't articulate it yet (because it doesn't make sense, he's not supposed to feel like his chest is being torn apart at obeying an order, all he's supposed to do is obey orders and he shouldn't care he can't care why does he care so much?), he can't bring himself to hurt Irratino.
Im ngl I had this epiphany in a car ride like five hours ago and only now have had the time to actually write it so I'm like 95% sure my ideas make sense? But this is the website for unhinged blorbo ramblings anyways hahaha
#i can only study ochem for so long before i have to refill the serotonin reserves with blorbo from my books meshed with blorbo from my game#so here you go! more ramblings! *tosses this post at y'all like a frisbee*#murdle DBH au#lunar's post

I figured that, given how many headcanons I scatter throughout my fics, I should try to put at least some of them in their own post so people don’t have to read my entire library to find them. So! Here are some HCs for Logico and Irratino! Some you may recognize from my fics, some I’ve never mentioned before.
(And yes, you’re free to use these.)
Logico
Is a MASSIVE fan of old mystery movies, and has been since he was young, to the point where his parents bought him an old Midnight VHS for his sixth birthday. He dresses like a noir detective to emulate those old movies, in fact. (But he’ll frantically deny it if you ask.)
Has a surprising fondness for sweet foods. Alas, he does not get to indulge in that often, because he doesn’t have the money and also he’s…kind of embarrassed of it? Having a sweet tooth ruins the whole “noir detective” feel, in his opinion. (Logico is very concerned what other people think of him. Believe me, he was a lot worse about this in college.)
Good with money! Though for not the happiest reasons; growing up poor and incredibly conscious of his family’s money woes (the downside of being a genius kid) led Logico to keep track his own finances down to the penny, making damn well sure he doesn’t make any wasteful purchases and has enough to pay the bills. Sometimes, he has to skip a meal or two to keep the lights on that month. It’s fine. He’s used to it.
HATES the taste of instant ramen. This seems random, but back in college, he couldn’t afford any of the school’s meal plans and had to live off instant ramen in his room. As one can imagine, eating nothing but ramen for a year got old real fast, and Logico eventually taught himself how to cook just so he could eat something—anything—else. To this day, he still gets queasy at the memory of instant ramen.
Fluent in Spanish! His mom was Hispanic, and he grew up around Spanish-speaking relatives, so it’s only natural he’d know it. Admittedly, years spent not speaking it made him a bit rusty (blame the gap between graduating college and Volume 1 + never going back to his hometown once in all that time), but he’s gotten back into the habit of using it.
Extremely self-sufficient. As mentioned before, his family was poor and his parents worked long hours and late nights to keep the lights on. So from a young age, Logico learned to take care of himself. (Despite this, he is also phenomenally bad at self-care.)
Has something of a creative streak! The icons in the books? He drew those. Yes, they’re fairly simplistic, but they’re there. He is, admittedly, a lot better at creating when he has a reference to work with, as opposed to having to create something whole-cloth (where his brain just blanks).
Oh god this man had no romantic game. At ALL. First because he spent several years deep in denial that he was into guys, then because he was deathly afraid of opening up to anyone. He just sort of drowned himself in work to avoid having to confront that fear, and pushed people away so they wouldn’t try to get too close. Logico might’ve repressed most of his college memories, but he recalled enough to know he got the rug pulled out from him far, far too many times. Never again. (Yeah that didn’t last :P)
Has anxiety something FIERCE. When he was a kid, he was horrendously shy and often panicked when called on, not helped at all by being extremely unpopular and often a target for bullies. When he was in college, he was quiet, kept to himself, and had a marked tendency to fall flat on his face whenever he stepped out of his comfort zone (see: The Case of 100% Normal Feelings, where luckily for him, his crush found that endearing rather than worthy of ridicule). As an adult, he seems to have it all together…but honestly, he’s still as bad as he was when he was younger, he’s just better at hiding it.
On the upside (and here’s an oxymorons HC for you lovely people), being with Irratino has led to one esoteric interest Logico will happily abase himself before: meditation. Less for “opening the third eye”, more because it’s a good way to calm down his often extraordinarily frayed nerves. Whenever Logico’s really stressed, Irratino declares it a spontaneous meditation hour and lights some lavender candles. Logico found it ridiculous at first, but it’s actually pretty relaxing.
Irratino
Okay, so I’ve already made it clear he wears glasses in my HCs (pure projection on my part, though he got his a lot earlier than I did—seven years old), but for something that isn’t projection and is just vibes, he wore braces back in middle school. He got the braces out shortly before the end of eighth grade, and started wearing contacts the summer after (no real reason other than personal preference), but between the glasses, the braces, and his very curly hair, he looked every inch the stereotypical nerd (unlike Logico, who acted like the stereotypical nerd).
Ssssspeaking of kid Irratino—when he was younger, he was absolutely tiny, even for his age. Then shortly before high school, he hit a late growth spurt and was as surprised as everyone else. (This one is solely for the bit :P)
Lived in the UK the years between SoM and Volume 1 (it’s heavily implied the Investigation Institute is headquartered there in canon, and Irratino decided it was just easier to stay there full-time for his work). Because of this, he can do a very good imitation of a British accent, and occasionally falls into the habit of using British words for things.
Unlike Logico—who had never so much as held hands with another guy before he and Irratino crossed paths again—Irratino did, in fact, have a romantic life prior to the books! …unfortunately, said romantic life was hindered by the fact that he’d never really gotten over his college crush due to having never gotten closure, and thus couldn’t really make it work with any other guy. Irratino’s cursed love life became something of an in-joke in the Institute :P
A bit sarcasm-blind. He was a lot worse about this before meeting Logico, who practically uses sarcasm as a third language :P He’s better with it now, and can actually make use of sarcasm himself, but he still tends to assume people are being sincere when they aren’t.
Not…the best with finances? He tries to avoid outright wasting money, but he has a bad tendency towards impulse-buying and often assumes other people have a lot more money than they actually do. In Irratino’s defense, money is literally not an issue for him, but there’s a reason Night handles the Institute’s accounting :P
Not the best with math in general! (Projection intensifies /j …mostly /j) He had to get a tutor during high school and still barely scraped a C. College math courses were absolute hell and he only got through them with Night’s help. Irratino has no idea how he didn’t flunk out—he’s not stupid, but the stuff Deduction College teaches was NOT his strong suit.
Why did he go to a logic school in the first place? Most of his family had gone there, including one of his mothers, and he both a) thought going there would’ve made his parents proud, and b) didn’t really have any other plans for where else to go. Astronomy was about the only class he enjoyed, and he still wound up expelled. In hindsight, though, that might’ve been for the better, because turns out logic degrees aren’t worth much on the job market. (Most of the students didn’t mind because they were already trust fund babies, the Institute members were not but fortunately Irratino was willing to hire them regardless, but poor Logico kinda got screwed :P)
Speaking of his moms…Irratino has moved on from that. Mostly. It’s been years, he has friends and a life he enjoys, he’s happy. But on nights when sleep is hard to find, he can’t help but think about them, and all of the things in his life they missed out on and will miss out on, and if he’ll ever see them again in some afterlife or otherworld (he’s never tried to contact them, because he doesn’t think he could take being proven wrong), and why they had to die. Irratino’s accepted, at this point, he’ll probably never know the motive of his mothers’ murders. It still hurts.
Aaaaaand like Logico’s section we end this on a happy HC: Irratino being so poor with finances does have one bright side! Namely, he has a tendency to absolutely spoil the people he loves, whether that be friends, family members, or yes, his boyfriend. He’ll see something in a store window, think “ooh, X would like that!” and immediately buys it. He thinks they deserve to have nice things, and he will get them nice things, and take them to nice places. Most of the people in his life are pretty used to it, but Logico (who, again, grew up without many nice things) is always surprised by how much Irratino is willing to spend on him. Not ungrateful, though.

Irratino, in Logico’s bed: Morning... how’d ya sleep last night?
Logico, knocking Irratino off: WHAT THE HELL?!
Irratino: Ow-
Logico: What were you doing in my bed? You were supposed to sleep on the air mattress on the floor!
Irratino: I had a nightmare.
Logico: You had a nightmare? What are you, five years old?
Irratino: Listen, I needed to feel comfortable and I was getting this perverse power dynamic vibe from me sleeping on the floor and you sleeping up there-
Logico, in a royal accent: Why yes, how high and mighty I am up on my twin XL!
Irratino: That is not what I meant-
Logico: Silence in the presence of your king, who sleeps a lofty twelve and a half inches above the ground!
Irratino: Listen, I’m not ashamed. I slept comfortably when I got up on your bed and I’m sure you did too.
Logico: Yeah, okay-
Irratino: You know what? I wanna know. How’d you sleep last night?
Logico: ...That was the best I’ve slept in a while.
Irratino, gasping: The king slept comfortably with a peasant in his bed!
Logico: I did not consent to this-
Irratino, dramatically: But my liege, our love is forbidden!
Logico, on the phone: Hi, is this the front desk? Yeah, there’s a bed bug in my room and he’s six-foot-two, he’s got long hair.
Irratino: Ask them if they have one of those “Do Not Disturb” signs. I’ll put it on the door next time we... do it.
Logico: Okay, I'ma go shower and wash all of the you off of me.
Irratino: Oh, maybe together we could-
Logico: NO.
Irratino: Just to save water-
Logico: No! You don’t even pay for the water!
Irratino: ...Good point.

Looks like my brain has velcroed onto the DBH AU, welp! (dw I haven't forgotten about the swap AU or SoM 3 or the sequel to the vampire AU fic I mentioned wanting to write a billion years ago! I've just been busy once more now that break is done and it takes a lot less energy to put out some 3/4 baked rambles over the brainpower needed to properly edit and reference things and plan long fics) Realistically, Android Logico would most likely be clean shaven and neat hair, going by the general appearance of all the other DBH androids, but a) I can't imagine him not looking sleep deprived and intentionally scruffy and b) it is infinitely funny to imagine, like, Indigo and Mauve and the rest of TekCo being like "Alright, this deviant hunter should look intimidating. How do we do that? We've already got him at six foot- i know!!! RBF and stubble! We will show he is a dangerous 'bad boy' by making his hair look perpetually uncombed! Brilliant!!"
#look Logico would have to loose the fedora as an android anyways because he prolly wouldn't be allowed to cover up the temple LED#since in DBH all androids have to market they are androids with the LED and markers on their clothing#even if he isn't capable of being grumpy yet. he needs to exude the energy of being sleep deprived and generally unhappy to be here#murdle DBH au#<- calling it that until I get a cooler name for it#lunar's post

they need to make AUs that are less mind consuming so I can finish my SoM chapter 3 fic or study for exams or do other responsibilities fr. anyways in the DBH Murdle AU do you think Irratino would call android Logico "Starlight" because the little LED in his temple is another little glowing light that lets him get a glimpse into the unknowable, aka what's going on inside Logico's head as he's processing things. do you think one of the first instabilities in Logico's software was to have 'starlight' register as a name he'll respond to, despite no one asking him to do so. do you think he realizes this and knows he should delete it, it's a one off comment and probably indicative of a glitch but he hesitates for reasons he can't articulate.
#girl help!!! help!!! this concept was supposed to be me mashing two fandoms together like barbie dolls and now it's consumed me!!!!#though what did i expect in combining murder mysteries and robots. two of my favorite things. that's on me actually#productivity is temporary blorbos from my puzzle books are eternal#and that's everyone elses's problem now#lunar's post#do I murdle tag this? murdle AU tag this? cook up a name for this AU? if i make more posts like this then yeah maybe lmao
