A fun little update, I got a pet betta! Please enjoy my little guy’s origin story!

Just talking about him makes me very happy, so this is going to be a longer post with plenty of pics! So I apologize in advance for how long this is probably going to be. ^-^ (I’m on mobile at the moment so I’ll work on getting a “read more” break soon)

(Also, since it’s been a while since I’ve had a betta, if anyone has any tips, I’m all ears! I’m want to give my little guy the best life possible!)

So, with COVID-19, my mom had to pick our foster cats up from PetSmart, as they closed their adoption centers until further notice. (We foster cats/kittens for our animal shelter, and are the ones who keep eligible shelter cats in the cages at our local PetSmart) Mom’s signing the cats out, as I’m wandering in the store and I stoped in front of the bettas.

Small pause to say, bettas are my favorite fish and I had owned a betta many many, years ago, and really wanted another one after he passed away. At that time, we were moving, and with the cats, it just wasn’t a good idea. And life got crazy. Just recently, I finally had my room (organized mess) to a point that I could get one if I wanted to because it was clean-ish, the feral cats only stay in enclosures, and my mellow cat, Lewis Carroll, is the only cat allowed to free roam in there (because all the other cats are crazy, and if something in my room is not where I know where I put it, a meltdown is eminent). No danger for the fish, all I needed was to find the right betta, I’d know him/her when I met them. No rush.

Back to last Tuesday. I’m looking, and there’s all the pretty colorful bettas in the front, the cheapest tiny ones on the lowest shelves. (Completely unrelated note, but this was the first time I’ve ever seen a Koi Betta and they’re very cool looking!) In the very back, on one shelf, was this absolute gorgeous crowntail!(well, gorgeous to me, anyway, as when I was checking out, the cashier gave an “if you say so” when I said he was adorable)

The picture doesn’t show it very well, but he did have some reddish splotches scattered randomly in the yellowish orange.

I bought the necessities and tank decorations, as I had a 3gal tank, just nothing to put in it!

Now, for people who are reading this as my first post, I’m a haunter (scare actor at the haunted attraction, Arx Mortis), and love the horror genre. I love the Saw franchise as I appreciate all the practical effects, and the first film is one of my favorite movies of all time. So it should be no surprise that I named him Kramer, with the nickname Jigsaw, after John Kramer, the Jigsaw Killer.

What makes things even funnier? Take a look at his tank:

Into the tank Kramer goes, after getting him adjusted to the temp, of course. He kinda hides out in the back, which is fine, he’s just had a huge change in environment, I get it.

The next day he’s swimming around more, and he’s developing more red coloring and wow, he’s so pretty! Obviously I’m taking plenty of pictures of him. And I turn my phone and show him the pictures of himself, and he just kinda floats there, just staring. Not puffing up to look intimidating at all. Just looking at himself.

On day 3, I walk up to his tank and give my usual “Morning, Kramer!” And start talking to him. He swims up close to me and is swimming around looking all happy and blowing bubbles! Later that night, I walk in my room and feeding the ferals when I notice him staring at me.

I’m like, “hey jigsaw! How’s it going?” As he’s being his adorable self. So I pull my phone out, and he just looks so excited!

On Sunday, week eight of the Scare Actor Spectacular concluded, and the results came in...Crept Morgan is advancing to round 2!!! (Huge thanks to those who voted!!) I’ll post when Crept is drawn for that, until then, enjoy the memes I made to help promote my character!

A fun inside joke, turned into a meme! (I earned the nickname ‘Wallbreaker’ because I accidentally scared a group of guests through a wall. That’s a whole fun story I’ll share eventually, because there’s been an update to it since MBV!)

Have you read the books yet ? I haven’t but I kinda want to. When did you become a fan? I became a fan in sixth grade which is when it came out.

I’ve read, The Silver Eyes, the first Freddy Files, and the First Fazbear Frights. I also recently got the graphic novel of Silver Eyes, but that’s still unopened in my bag. They’re all pretty good reads! Fazbear Frights is probably my favorite out of them all so far. Freddy Files is cool, but more for looking for lore. **cough** and the FNAF 6 teaser picture **cough**

You actually became a fan before I did! I found out about after FNAF 2 was released and the teaser for FNAF 3 on scottgames was the box full of pieces from different animatronics! It’s funny because I remember like it was yesterday, a friend of mine from co-op (I was homeschooled) sitting down at our table saying. “Have you heard of Five Night’s at Freddy’s??” “No, what is it?” “You won’t believe me if I told you, look it up and get back with me!” I went home, googled it, and I fell down the FNAF rabbit hole and have yet to get out, lol. As time went on, I got more into the backstory, timeline, and theorizing. I basically had the whole theorized timeline in my head, and my best friend dubbed me the walking FNAF encyclopedia. (Which a couple years later, would earn me a spot in his ‘Nerd Montly’ local newsletter, covering horror games. Whenever something FNAF was released or teased, I’d get double or triple the page allotment, because I went so in detail and explained everything ^-^)

Crept Morgan in Action!

I just realized I hadn’t posted the rest of Crept’s pictures from last haunt season! So here they are!

Also! Crept Morgan has been accepted into the Scurryface Scare Actor Spectacular this year! It’s a fun little competition with haunters from all over the world, and people online get to vote for their favorite character! She’s not been pulled for round one voting yet, I’ll be sure to post when she does! It would mean a lot to me if you would vote for Crept when the time comes! ^-^

2019

Also known as, my most notable moments of 2019.

1) I started a YouTube channel and uploaded my first tap video!

2) Went to St. Louis with the haunt fam! Transworld was a lot of fun! (I know it doesn’t sound like it, but it’s a haunted attraction trade show/ convention)

2a) Went to 2 escape rooms while we were there. That was the day my haunt fam learned about my love and success rate with escape rooms (because puzzles like that really engage me and I think that way). The escape room guy at our haunt even wanted me to test the new escape room in the lobby of the haunt before it opened!

2b) Went nuts at The City Museum!

3) Danced my last recital with my dance studio.

4) Got called on to a theatre production 2 WEEKS BEFORE OPENING. Luckily just an ensemble character, but it was a main dance part so there’s that. It was insane, but it went awesome!

5) Made my haunt vest!

6) Created a new haunt character for myself, Crept Morgan. She was very successful, dubbed Queen of Cemetery, and Me AND the haunt all learned more about me!

6a) After haunt season ended, I ended up stumbling across some info about Wendigo’s and comparing that to Crept’s backstory, personality, and appearance, it turns out I unintentionally created a Wendigo character!

7) Haunt season in 2019 was slow, but pretty awesome! I’m including some highlights here, but feel free to ask me to elaborate more or ask! I love talking about it!

8) I followed a radio host all through the cemetery, and scared him so much as he was leaving, he refused to walk past until I retreated back, (I think I scared him like 4 times?)

9) I learned I can easily scale a fence, climb along rails, hide in upper corners of tunnels and climb to be on top of mausoleums. Nobody knew where they’d see me next.

10) Secretly followed a guy, and caused an early exit! (Meaning they got so scared they couldn’t finish walking through the attraction)

11) Caused a break up! (I’ve learned 2 surprising facts from the people that walked through this year. Most guys are easier to scare than girls. And sometimes your partner is willing to shove you TOWARDS the scary thing and run. (We call these Boy/Girlfriend Sacrifices) it happens more than you think)

12) I scared a group of people through a wall. Only a quarter of the wall was left. (Nobody was hurt, thankfully!!) The haunt fam was so confused at how little ol’ me was able to do that!

13) personally broke the last quarter of the wall myself during a downpour. While a group of people were walking through. I used it to my advantage.

14) Crept made friends with a little boy walking through. His name’s Trevor. (His parents were terrified)

15)Went to Atlanta with a small group of haunt friends to Netherworld. I got jumpscare by a spider animatronic on the ceiling.

16) Volunteered at a toy drive in TN. It was a haunted attraction. It was awesome!

That’s about it. Looking foreword to seeing what next year brings!

So I went to see Cats yesterday (Christmas Day) just because of all I’d read on Tumblr.

I thought my Instagram story said it all, but now I’ve processed the whole thing. So, allow me to add on:

1) Mungojerrie and Rumpleteaser is my favorite number from the musical, song and choreography-wise. I was very disappointed with that whole sequence in the movie.

2) Runner up for a disappointing number, Mr. Mistofelees, I definitely like the musical version better. (and excUSE ME RUM TUM TUGGER SHOULD BE SINGING NOT THE OTHER MAIN DUDE. 0/10)

3) Dad and I constantly saying “What the heck?!?” Under our breaths so many times.

4) Nearly left the theatre early all because of that last scene. I was soooooooo uncomfortable. Luckily I know the musical enough to know it was the end, so I stuck it out.

5) runner up for the most uncomfortable scene goes to Taylor swift drugging the cats with catnip. wtf????

6) Ok, this one is probably me being a stickler but the Growltiger song doesn’t happen at that point in the show????

7) trying to give the musical a plot was really awkward. Just...why?

8) Cats movie in general...just...why?

Spooky Reindeer Antlers!

So this past weekend, I participated in a toy drive by working in a Christmas haunted house, bring a toy to walk through, It was a success btw!! We filled an ambulance with toys! Everyone from my haunted attraction who helped out, made their character a little more “festive” for the event.

I brought my lovely alter ego, Crept, out to play. (Side note, upon doing some research, it turns out Crept technically can be considered a wendigo! So that’s actually pretty cool!) Here’s my holiday getup!

The most successful thing I managed to do, is make some pretty rad reindeer antlers out of some cheap skeleton parts I had lying around the house!

The finished result!
