I feel like some of you guys think "bad art" is like someone gluing rhinestones to a water melon, or a guy who made his own armchair out of Ohio license plates, or a trashy romance novel where someone says "the blue-eyed one kissed the brown-eyed one," when in reality bad art is a 1000000 Billion Dollar movie where none of the workers got paid and every single creative decision was market tested to see how lucrative of a profit it could foreseeably make to wow shareholders.

things I wish people told me in my early 20s

you’re so young and you have so much time - do not feel pressured to have everything sorted or figured out or make major life decisions please take your time and relax

how you’re perceived by others doesn’t matter and you have to live life for yourself and do whats right for you. most of the people who’s opinions feel important now will be completely irrelevant in 5 years, they don’t matter at all.

you don’t need anyone to save you or take care of you, you can do that all by yourself

there’s nothing inherently wrong with you, you aren’t broken and you don’t need to be fixed. you are loveable and wonderful. be gentle with yourself.

everyone has their own path and their own timeline. enjoy yours and don’t compare your journey to others. your time will come and it’s all part of the becoming and unfolding of your story and who you are

you will make mistakes and bad decisions… doesn’t mean you’re irredeemable or your life is unfixable. there is no wrong path or bad version of the story destiny will flow where it’s meant to always

many things which feel like a huge deal now will fade into insignificance in a few years… it may hurt for a moment but long term it really doesn’t have a major impact on your life. you’ll be okay

do you ever wonder why stephanie meyer had the cullens live in a small town to preserve their “anonymity?” has she ever been to a small town??? small town people got nothing to do all day, other than to gossip and think about those weird people that live in the forest. if anything, they’re getting the opposite of anonymity. you want real anonymity? live in a big city. you could live next to someone for 5 years and never even learn their name. they’re up all night? they’re beautiful, looks like they had some crazy good plastic surgery? you never see them go outside? somehow hella fuckin rich? yeah. Fandom is YOU. And me and everyone. If we doodle stick figures for a show that ended 30 years ago we aren't "late" or "doing too little", we're playing dolls in our own time and having fun with works of art that mean a lot to us

You can literally watch and engage with something that aired in 2004 as if it aired yesterday

If the tag hasn't been active for 14 months guess what? If YOU post there, it isn't dead. Literally you can talk about anything you want whenever you want there is no weird law against watching things that people aren't actively talk about
