Hey guys. A thought occurred to me today... Have any of you seen 'Bones'? Remember the last episode of season four, where we were shown the alternate universe from Brennan's book?
So here it is. Imagine something similar happening to Aziraphale and Crowley. This could be Crowley's dream after he broke up with the angel in the season two finale. Or perhaps the Second Coming happened, but Ineffable husbands were given a second chance as men by the will of Jesus/God.
In my opinion, it suits them so well. Here are some quotes to prove my point:
"People say you only live once. But people are as wrong about that... as they are about everything. In the darkest moments before dawn, a women returns to her bed. What life is she leading? Is it the same life the woman was living half an hour ago? A day ago? A year ago? Who is this man? Do they lead separate lives? Or is it a single life shared?"
"You love someone, you open yourself up to suffering. That's the sad truth. Maybe they'll break your heart. Maybe you'll break their heart and never be able to look at yourself in the same way. Those are the risks."
"You see two people, and you think... they belong together. But nothing happens."
"The thought of losing so much control... over personal happiness is unbearable. That's the burden. Like wings, they have weight... we feel that weight on our backs... but they are a burden that lifts us. Burdens that allow us... to fly."
What do you think? Maybe someone would like to write a fic based on this idea?

This scene was absolutely beautiful BUT it’s also the crux of the issue. You guys this is where the problems start. Because—because Crowley’s already cast out, he finds COMFORT in the idea that they are lonely together. “As far as he can” becoming “as far as they can” is an END to his complete “otherness” and something to appreciate, to covet, and to find solace in. He’s finally not alone.
But—and this is important.
Aziraphale does NOT feel that. He can’t.
This moment is completely and utterly devastating for Zira. He finds out he’s not damned and sure, he’s relieved. But he’s no longer “an Angel” in the way that he’s learned is right. He’s now unchangeably and forever; less holy—a concept that is dearly important to his identity. “[Going] along with heaven as far as he can” is a FAILING on his part. Not heaven’s(at least to him). There is no solace or comfort—he finds existence like that—just the two of them—achingly LONELY. And that’s just how his perspective demands to be taken. It’s the only perspective he is capable of in that moment AND after it, too.
Take into account Crowley has went from having no one AT ALL to having SOMEONE. And he puts EVERYTHING he has into it. This is not good. It’s unfair to Aziraphale. And it’s unfair to himself. On the opposite side, you have Aziraphale. Who has just went from having the ENTIRE HEAVENLY HOST, to having this SINGLE demon— who, one minute ago, Aziraphale thought would be dragging him off to hell.
And the part that aches is that this perspective hasn’t changed. Aziraphale feels like his existence is lacking because he wants so badly to be GOOD. And good is Holy. Good is heavenly. He’s the problem for having morals that are misaligned.
Spoilers for the last episode:
Aziraphale has just been given the validation that he is not only GOOD but the most HEAVENLY Angel there is, the Supreme Archangel, even. And if heavens morals are now HIS morals, then that’s EVERY PROBLEM SOLVED. With a bow even, because Crowley’s basically on heavens side anyway, he’s GOOD, isn’t he? He’s been good this whole time, so why wouldn’t heaven want him back? Reinstating him as Angel would fix everything. They can be together, and they can be good, and they can be HOLY. All Aziraphale’s conflicting emotions about loving Crowley can be packed away because Crowley will be perfect again—and surely Crowley wants to be perfect—wants to be forgiven.(sorry everyone, that hurt me too, oof) Aziraphale is SHOCKED by Crowley’s refusal. He’s devastated that his version of perfect is treated as something naive and distasteful.
Crowley’s devastated too. He’s just lost “their side”. A concept that for 5000+ years has been THE ONLY THING he puts love into besides his car and perhaps his plants(And humanity, but he’ll never admit to that—I’m looking at the “No more dying” scene). Crowley is constantly being devastated by Aziraphale. He’s “too fast”, he’s too evil, he’s too good sometimes. Crowley has always been TOO MUCH. But this is different because for four years, he’s had “them”(on their own side) without the hiding, and without the denial and without Aziraphale constantly putting former jobs between them. PLUS he has a mountain of trauma centered around the concept of “forgiveness”, so that’s not great considering Aziraphale’s last words to him(THAT HE HASNT SAID ALL SEASON EVEN WHEN HE MADE CROWLEY APOLOGIZE IN THE FIRST EPISODE, AHHHHH). He’s losing everything and he’s desperate: Why isn’t he enough, hasn’t he been enough these last 4 years? Hasn’t HE been enough the last 6000?
Aziraphale has always been enough for Crowley. But being enough for Crowley doesn’t fix how Aziraphale has never been enough for himself, not since Job. He looks at this offer as a chance for HIM to be enough, and for Crowley to be FORGIVEN. Crowley looks at it as a betrayal because it’s Aziraphale saying Crowley ISNT enough, and he NEVER has been.
But that’s not what Aziraphale is saying. He’s saying, “Let me fix it for you”. Crowley is hearing, “Let me fix you for it.” Two completely different and completely horrifying concepts.
And then Crowley needs to say HIS piece(oh my gosh, btw, this was heartbreaking).
“Let’s be together on our terms” is basically what I’ve distilled it down to. But Aziraphale hears, “Let’s run away from our problems”
Aziraphale doesn’t want to run away, and Crowley doesn’t want to change who he is.
They both want to be together so badly but they don’t understand why they each want it so differently. And Aziraphale can’t compromise because he’s brainwashed and LOATHES himself. And Crowley can’t compromise because he’s traumatized and LOVES Aziraphale just as he is. Crowley doesn’t want to be good on heavens terms. He can see Heaven for what it is; “toxic”. He hates heaven not only for what the Host did to him, but for HOW THEY TREATED Aziraphale.
They both don’t understand each other because for all the pleading and presenting and monologuing, they never once in that whole conversation, actually talked.

First Burn (Good Omens Animatic)

I keep noticing how much of what happened in Season 2 was predicted. Here is another animastic that is much more relevant now.
(I still remind you that this work does not belong to me. Just sharing the work of talented authors.)
P.S. Does anyone know how to make animastics/clips? In my opinion, "Arcade" would be very relevant now.

I am an optimist, I think about the good (the power of self-hypnosis).
So who else remembers this? Literally what happened in the show.

The GO Season 2 was... ngk.
The main thing is not to panic! Let's be optimistic.
1) Let's be happy for Ineffable Bueracracy. I don't know about you, but I've been waiting for this.
2) Crowley KISSED Aziraphale! If not for the final, I would jump to the ceiling. I think a lot of the fandom has been dreaming about this for years.
3) Please tell me there will be a third season😭. Azi will realize how wrong he was, Crowley will forgive him as always, and our boys will be happy together.
P.S. To be completely rational, this was to be expected. Aziraphale too long justified Heaven, by the time the first season ended, he hadn't really come to terms with the fact that he didn't belong to them anymore. Let's be honest, unlike Aziraphale in the fic and comics, and even unlike him in the book, this angel leaves Crowley behind time after time in the show. It's no secret that there are feelings between AziCrow, but to come to a healthy relationship, this is not enough. Not circumstances, not a personal quarrel with one of the angels, not a love of books and pancakes, but one's own decision must about getting Aziraphale to choose Crowley. Just like Gabriel and Beelzebub did. They didn't care what would happen to Earth, Heaven, Hell. They only needed each other.
And, since I seem to have arranged an entire lecture here, I will note that Muriel, like Aziraphale, clearly needs approval. Perhaps this is an allusion to unhealthy relationships in the family. Even if a child is bullied, beaten and not appreciated, he continues to love his parents. And he will be ready for anything for a fleeting caress. Now, since I got this thought, leaving Heaven for Aziraphale is the same as breaking up with toxic parents, the same as leaving the cult.
I hope that in a couple of years we will be pleased with the third season, where, finally, there will be an "opening of the abscess" and a happy ending.

Okay guys. I, as always, try something new for myself.
So, today I want to propose an idea for an animastic/fanfiction.
There are already many variations of "If I could tell her" from "Dear Evan Hansen" in different fandoms, but I have not yet seen any such work in Good Omens. So. As many of you know, AU where Crowley was Raphael is very popular. And also very often Aziraphale admires him, not knowing that this is Crowley (the angel was created after the Fall and named after him / was created specifically inassistants to Raphael, but something went wrong).
And imagine a situation where Crowley, who is in love with Azi, finds out about this. But the demon is afraid to tell the truth and tells the angel that he knew Raphael before or after the Fall (depending on what you like).
Well, what happens next, I think you already know. If you like this idea, I'd be happy to chat about it.
P.S. Does anyone else do that? Ah, never mind. I've always been weird.

Many people remember that post where Crowley is simply obliged to bring Gabriel and Beelzebub together to say: "Did you see a couple of an angel and a demon? I made it up!" But what if we take a broader view of this idea? Why did the archangel and the archdemon end up on Earth?
Gabriel thought: "Well, I'm the most persistent here in Heaven. Nothing can tempt me and make me native."
Beelz just realized that half of her demons are idiots, half are cowards, afraid of AziCrow, and Dagon again dug into her files and no one to rely on at all.
And then they saw each other in St. James Park: F**K! And Crowley, dragging Azi some pancakes, saw them too.

I want an AU where ALL demons understand sarcasm. And Crowley takes advantage of that. Just imagine:
- Hey Crowley, what are you planning to do tomorrow?
-Of course, I'm going to the theater with the angel Aziraphale!
-Why are you doing this right now? If you don't want to talk, then don't!
And the faces of everyone in Hell when, after Armageddon, it turned out that Crowley was not lying.

Hey there (once again today)! This is not some philosophical publication (and I will have them), I just suddenly thought that I want to support excellent authors whose work has not received wide publicity, but is amazing. Here is the work of the first of these authors.
I hope I haven't violated anything with my desire to encourage good work (nervous laughter).

Hey there! I don't know if anyone has thought of this, but Crowley is much more powerful than it might seem. Yes, someone theorized that he WAS powerful (Raphael or someone like that), but what if I told you that he is powerful even now?
Here are some facts (based only on the series (DRAMA):
-Crowley stopped time (not only for people, but also for SATAN, who is very close to God in strength);
- Crowley KNEW that the Apocalypse was God's test;
- Aziraphale silently asks Crowley to removea stain of paint (why if he removes the stain himself, he will remember that it was there, but if Crowley does it, is everything all right?);
- Hellfire cannot destroy a demon, BUT, according to the M25 scene, it can deprive a demon of a body (why was Crowley able to get to the air base by sheer force of imagination? In addition, he tried to save the Bentley, and not his body. And in the scene with the execution Hellfire only gave him strength);
- why, again, in the body swap scene, Aziraphale asks Crowley about whether someone is watching, and not checking it himself?
-why exactly was Crowley sent to make trouble in Eden? He had not yet managed to deceive Hell, passing off the deeds of people as his own;
- why did Crowley endure the church with almost no problems and even work a miracle there (we don't know the laws of this universe well, but still...)?
- why does Satan speak to Crowley and not punish him right away for thinking about getting rid of the Antichrist?
I may not have noticed everything, but this is enough to confirm theories, right?
