rereading iron flame and i have thoughts;

i know people get annoyed with either xaden for keeping things from violet or violet being frustrated with him for keeping things but honestly, i understand them both

xaden wants to tell her information and wants to involve her, but there’s so much at stake. he has so many people to protect and it’s not just his wants that matter at this point. the questions give him almost a loophole, if she asks he won’t lie but he can’t in good conscience tell her straight out (we don’t have his perspective on this but this is how i see it)

and violet values trust and knowledge more than anything, so him not trusting her with information feels like a betrayal. she loves him and wants to trust him but she doesn’t feel like he trusts her (when we know it’s just not safe for her to know because so many other people suck and they’re more scared of him than her which is dumb but alas). she has every right to be frustrated with him.

also, they’re in their 20s and people in their 20s (i speak as one around violets age) aren’t always super reasonable, especially in a high stakes, absolutely horrific circumstances.

i think they’re both valid in the way they feel and the way they act and i know they’ll work it out because if they don’t have a happily ever after i’ll just, die probably.

I don't think people understand why Mor views Nesta to be like those of her family in the CoN.

The first time Mor ever met Nesta she was kind and cordial - as anyone would be meeting a stranger.

But what does Nesta do? The first thing she does is scan Mor and her outfit, and makes a comment about it. Body shames her.

Who does Mor relate being body shamed to? Her father Keir. As we are very aware of his slut shaming comments he's made towards Feyre, it is obviously an environment Mor is very familiar with.

Had Nesta not commented as such, Mor would never have developed the comparison between the two.

Nesta's comments reminded her of her trauma. Nesta's comments reminded Rhys of his trauma and the trauma Feyre endured. Please stop acting like she's an innocent victim when she has incited these character's disapproval.

Mor Week Day 5: Titles

My dream is to read Mor killing Keir on page, so for this prompt I couldn't imagine a better new title for Mor than...Queen of the Hewn City. I imagine her killing her family who tortured her and then completely reforming the city. Rhys describes her as the equivalent of a queen in acomaf, so I'd love for her to have the title in truth

how anyone is still justifying how nesta told feyre about the pregnancy is beyond me. the whole ��well at least she told her, no one else did”

1) rhys was going to. as soon as he a) found out what was wrong / how to fix it or b) found out there was nothing they could do to fix it. because there’s no point stressing her out and possibly miscarrying or going into labor early if there was a way to fix it.

and 2) nesta also agrees to keep it a secret !! she agrees with their reasoning even though she hates everyone at this point (including herself). she’s like yeah that makes sense no point stressing her out unless there’s reason to.

nesta only says it out of anger and nastiness, she literally admits this herself. and she REGRETS DOING IT. why are yall trying to say it’s okay when nesta herself doesn’t think it’s okay

yes. feyre deserved to know, but even the medical professional that they trust, the one who has healed them all countless times told rhys not to tell her until they figured it out. why are yall mad at a man who listened to a doctor, hated not telling her, and was doing everything he could to try to fix it? i don’t get it
