Can someone please recommend me different scenes from other movies/shows like this two? With one character pushing the other to save them and they kinda fall on top of each other and with the guy waiting outside for the girl, trying to earn her trust/forgiveness or something like that. I want to make a tiktok post using different references from other stories to show the romantic coding from this moments. Oh no, not The Promise. I’m so mad all over again, it is not fair that Katara keeps needing to pacify her boyfriend’s ridiculously powerful temper tantrums. That’s literally what the Avatar state is, most times. And the one time Aang could have actually used it, he fails and Azula almost kills him. Then the narrative lets him down and it is all fixed through 0 character growth, just a well placed rock. The world was literally saved by a fucking rock. Put that rock up there with the Avatar and Fire Lord Zuko (which the writers still would before having Katara up there with them, like she’s always deserved).

And Katara, oof Katara, gets dragged along into this nonsense because the story just refuses to let Aang grow, so of course she’s stuck on baby sitting duty as well. It breaks my heart :(

When will Kataang shippers realise we were literally all robbed?

The fact that people even view this as romantic when Katara said in the show that it's scary to see him in the avatar state it's also crazy to me. If the creators bothered to address Aang's attachment and dependency on Katara, she wouldn't be responsible anymore to manage his emotions and take him out of the avatar state. But they wanted to have their cake and eat it too
